Max Ward does the deep, "cookie monster" vocals, and Chris Dodge does most of the "screaming." I think you all may be referring to Dodge. :thumb:

I need to listen to Spazz. I have their **** on my comp but never really listened to it much. I'll do that later.

AIRIC 02-08-2007 05:02 PM

DaveToopes 02-08-2007 05:46 PM

You most DEFINATELY need to check out Spazz. Almost everything they've released has been f'ucking GOLD. Most all of their 7"'s are ace, but thier most crucial album I would say, was "Crush, Kill, Destroy" -- definately get that. As for XBRAINIAX, i'd say, go get their stuff off SLSK. They're released 2 demos (that ripped hard) and 7" and one split 7". If you're going to SLSK XBRAINIAX -- get their 7" titled "Disgrace To The Corpse Of Eric Wood" -- it has stuff off their Demos, as well as original stuff. I'd upload the album if I knew how to... :upset:

Aus Rotten 02-08-2007 09:11 PM
Seconded.
I always see you in the A//E Anarcho Punk SLSK room, just Room Search XBRAINIAX. :thumb:

Aus Rotten 02-08-2007 09:16 PM

Sorry for third post in a row, but, while i'm a streak for recommending bands that you all seem to really dig, you guys should check out Knuckle Scraper - Max Isn't The Bastard. Excellent 7" that hasn't left the rekkid playa for a while. The title is a (obvious) parody of Max Ward, and Man Is The Bastard mixed. SLSK it chums! :thumb:

AIRIC 02-08-2007 09:18 PM

I'm sure I'll find some XBRAINIAX on SLSK but if you want to upload some good stuff go to a site like www.megaupload.com or www.rapidshare.com and upload a zipped album onto that and then post the link. Takes a few minutes but it's simple.
The only thing I don't like about Spazz is the one guy's voice.
Dude, the vocals are the essence of Spazz.

Ah, no doubt, i'll definately do that tomorrow. I'm a little caught up now and posting only when i'm taking a very short break from work, hah. :thumb:

I can't help it, I just don't like the one guy's vocals.

duuuuuuuuuuuude!

Aus Rotten 02-09-2007 07:19 PM

I uploaded XBRANIAX - Disgrace To The Corpse Of Eric Wood on megaupload... this was the link it gave me at the end -- http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KJRM2Z8S -- although, it states that the file is temporarily out of service? No idea. Oh, and it's in .rar format. If you get the link to work, enjoy! :thumb:

AIRIC 02-09-2007 07:38 PM

It worked thanks so much man. What's your name again?

XBRAINIAX is one of my new favorite bands. I can't get enough of these guys.

DaveToopes 02-09-2007 08:29 PM

Yeah i'm listening to the 7" right now and it's sick.

Aus Rotten 02-09-2007 11:18 PM

I'm Nick, fellow New Yorker! Glad you guys liked the 7", I too have been listening to it for sometime... it's f'ucking br00t4l. Sorry about the .rar format RetiredAt21, I read in a previous thread your troubles with .rar's. :upset: I'll try to dig up the XBRAINIAX demos i've got somewhere, and put them up. Although, their 2 demos have the same songs as the 7", just worse quality. :thumb: If I can find any other decent powerviolence, i'll megaupload it too.

RetiredAt21 02-10-2007 07:57 AM

I can deal with the .rar format, XBRAINIAX rules.

I've never heard of acoustic powerviolence -- PV is centered around blast beats, making acoustic powerviolence sort of... difficult? And, as i've said before, Charles Bronson are one of my favorite bands. The samples they use are brilliant. Have you guys ever actually read the lyrics to their songs? The lyrics are funny as hell, very witty, and very intelligent. It's VERY enjoyable to read along with the lyrics as you're listening to them.

RetiredAt21 02-11-2007 03:26 PM

The lyrics are really really good.

RetiredAt21 02-12-2007 08:25 PM

Could someone upload some ACxDC?

IgniteYourAvail 02-12-2007 08:41 PM

Yeah man, I'll upload an album, give me a few minutes.
