I am more concerned that NOTM appears to be from Manchester (like Butler), and has apallingly bad tendencies toward thinking that crappy bands like Franz Ferdinand and Maximo Park are good (also like Butler).

I still disapprove of anyone who thinks that Kaiser Chiefs or Franz Ferdinand are good bands, regardless of whether they are friends with currrent MX members.

I agree mostly. I've never heard Kaiser Chiefs but Franz Ferdinand are pretty sucky IMO. Plus they named their band after a dead Austrian-Hungarian Governor guy.

I like Franz.

Well, it's all opinion at the end of the day, but there's something about FF and KC which annoys me hugely. Possibly because their singers are both very slap-able, possibly because they sing about stupid things, possibly because they seem to try to be quirk-ily catchy for the sake of the fact that that's what gets chart positions for indie bands at the moment, but mostly because they seem to produce precisely mediocre and uninteresting Britpop, yet have legions of fans who hero-worship them for that exact reason.



I am sure to die when most of the UK kids come on tomorrow.
