I was always amazed at Ness's songwriting abilities, cause he wrote awesome songs when he was really young.

S/T is my favorite. I love Story Of My Life and Ball and Chain, as well as The Creeps...

and I saw them last October w/ Tiger Army and both bands were awesome...:D

Last night I walked into my friend's house and he was watching a **** movie.

The bit I saw, one of the characters (female) sits down next to another and tattooed on her right arm was the Social Distortion symbol (the smiley face with crosses for eyes and a trilby hat on).

That made me smile.

I've heard a couple of Social Distortion songs and they sounded pretty good.

All of their albums are really good except somewhere between heaven and hell.

I always thought "Somewhere" was the best.

"Prison Bound" is a good album to start with.

"Whatever."

i love social d one of my fav bands just saw them live bought two weeks ago at hsftvial in baltimore it sucked thought cause there sit time was only like 1 hour and but they were great i just wish they would had played 1945

I like them a lot. Have seen 'em several times and Mike Ness solo, too. I like most of there stuff, although Ness is a bit sensitive with the lyrics these days. And his twelve step stuff tends to creep in more often. Especially on White Light, White Heat, White Trash. I've never really thought of them as a punk band, though. But then again that goes for a lot of "punk" bands I like :rolleyes:.

Anyone like Mike Ness's Country - Hillbilly music influenced solo stuff? I dig it :thumb:
