Mah fav songs r War Pigs and Iron Man , love iron man such a awesome song.
Sabbath r awesome! |
yeah, everyone says Iron man, it's a given 'cause it's so freakin' heavy and acid ifluenced. I just bought paranoid, though I'm sad to say it's on CD(not on a record like most of my albums) but I am stoked to have heard about a zillion times through. Heavy man, thier early stuff is the heavyest s'hit around.
|
^^^
they have WAY more acid influenced songs than that, Megalomania espically. |
And EPIC influenced! Gotta love the Symptom/Mega sucession on Sabotage.
|
Who is everyone's favorite Sabbath guitarist?
Mine is Randy Rhoads. |
Who is everyone's favorite Sabbath guitarist?
Mine is Randy Rhoads.
Rhoads wasn't a Sabbath guitarist, i think anyway my fav songs r most of the earlyer Sabbith and bark at the moon and i just want you by ozzy |
honestly the song 'paranoid' is my life at this paticular moment in time.... EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. which is said.
|

Been listening to Black Sabbath & Paranoid a lot lately.
Fave song is probably The Wizard. Neat harmonica riff, nice flow to the song, and I really dig the drumming on this. |
I want to get a harmonica and learn how to play The Wizard on that.
|
laiho, rhoeds wasn't in sabbath he was in katzenjammer kids, quiet riot, and ozzy osbourne but not sabbath.
|
Actually before i really got into sabbath, i'd say my favorite album was paranoid... but honestly right now i think my favorite is never say die. Johnny blade is a bad *** song, I love the lyrics and everything the song is about it's so cool. Junior's eyes as well , i love the bass riff it's funky styles and virtually everything about the song appeals to me. The whole album is wonderfull and ican listen to it for hours :D
|
the only song i like by sabbath is "paranoid" and i like the pantera & megdeth cover of it better than the original song.
i'm not that keen on ozzy's voice. |

Thankgod. There's someone else here who loves Never Say Die! Its a fantastic album, Air Dance is probably my fav. song off it, then Swinging the Chain (with Bill Ward on vocals) |
I don't really get why so many people don't like Ozzy's voice, but apart from that my favourite songs are Crazy Train, Changes, N.I.B., Paranoid and Iron Man.

'tis not a Black Sabbath song. Its a good Ozzy song though. |
i think that the most epic Sabbath song (or part0 is towards the end of War Pigs....doesn't get any better.......
|

yeah i dont get that either, they musn't have listened to songs like 'its alright' where bill sings :upset: stick to drumming bill :thumb: |

i dont know the end of iron man is pretty epic |
yeah i dont get that either, they musn't have listened to songs like 'its alright' where bill sings :upset:
stick to drumming bill :thumb:
It's Alright and Swinging the Chain are both great songs with Bill on vocals. Also, I have the outro to Iron Man up to speed on bass  |
im trying to learn it on guitar, i can play the very last bit but the solo is hard (iron man that is)
i dont like bills singing voice, it doesnt sound right to me (if that makes sense) |
I have one of his solo songs called ''Straws'', its pretty good, he has an alright voice.
Sometimes Ozzy's voice is good, sometimes its not. One example of when it's amazing is ''Solitude''. |
never heared that
ozzys voice sounds good on the backing vocals during the chorus on 'psycho man', especially at the end when it has sped up |
Psycho man is great, Selling my Soul is also pretty good.
I downloaded a live version of ''Scarey Dreams'' and wasn't too impressed with it though. I think you can download ''Straws'' from Bill Wards website, I'll look for the link in a minute. The quality isn't amazing but its worth a listen. www.billward.com You can't get Straws anymore, but theres a few other songs to download. Enjoy :) |
ok thanks
i listened to vil 4 again and the only song i dont like is FX, i dont think i will ever like that song |
FX is kinda random and not that interesting.
Under the Sun is a fantastic song, it gets really catchy at the end and has a great line ''Everyday just comes and goes, life is one long overdose'' |
Ozzy is my favorite singer.
|
either snowblind or supernaut are my fave of that album
is there a site, cd, dvd (and so on) with songs like 'blue swade shoes' and all the blues stuff they used to play on, some of it is really good |
I have Blue Suede Shoes.
And ''The Lost Demos'' featuring demos of Sabbath + Ozzy songs, Black Sabbath, Iron Man, I don't Want to Change the World, Desire etc.. Its pretty good. |
where did you get them from?
have you ever seen this site? http://www.rdrop.com/~mjames/sabbath/index.html |
