Whoever asked about the new album solos, yes. The solo in Kick the Chair is awesome. As for the line-up, I'm not sure. Oh and what do you guys think I have enough money for either the Rude Awakening DVD or the Behind the Music. What do you guys think I should buy?
|
is your rude awakening a double CD? or are u talking about the DVD? Because either way there is 25 songs in total on the DVD and 24 on the double CD(its only missing "Silent Scorn", which is just the last song which they dont actually play when the band thanks the crowd). What you may have is a condensed version of Rude Awakening, in which they selected probably the 10 best out of the entire concert
yeah, I think that is it, because it came as a double CD thing, with the audio CD and the DVD... |
i know megadeth are touring, dave is looking at bringing either anthrax, exodus, or testament. im certainly going to see them. chances are he'll be bringing anthrax.
|
That would be ****in awesome. I really want to see Megadeth, really bad.
|
i wish they would and come to puerto rico anyways i want that cd is gotta be good i bet
|
My fav Megadeth songs are Blood of Heros, Trust, and Symphony of Destruction
|
yeah that'd be sick to see Anthrax and Megadeth
|
I listen to Metallica.Megadeth kicks thier ***.
|
according to Ron Dave jumped on James' back and a fight broke out which ended in Hetfield telling Dave he was out. The next day Dave came back begging to be in the band again. I think thats it, more info about it can be found here http://www.metallicaworld.co.uk/Interviews/1997_ronmcgovney.htm
(i'm referring to the fight, not the reason Dave was eventually thrown out)
actually if you read the link, its Ron jumping on Dave's back and Dave throwing Ron over him. |

ive seen Anthrax, kinda cool but i was bored alot. (last august) but i would like to see Exodus and LOVE to see Testament as well!! i think this will be a sequel to the thrash of the titans tour! |
I've never seen Megadeth, but if they tour, im there!!! hopefully some Canadian dates!
|
OK...what happened was Hetfield and Ulrich were thinking that because of Dave's behavior that he was going to bring down the band, remember, before Metallica bought out kill 'em all that they were already stars in the underground. Hetfield, Ulrich and Burton got Mustaine up one morning and said your ou of the band, Mustaine was like "what, no warning, no second chance?. They took him and his stuff to the bus and just left him there. This hurt Mustaine, he even said it was more hurtful to him the watching his father die. He started Megadeth to get back at Metallica.
|
I hope they bring Anthrax on tour, they rock!
|
i have all the originals, except the remastered of "killing...."
That didn't quite make sense, because the remastered isn't the original or did you mean you just don't have the original KIMB? I also bought the original Risk today, Bud Prague is a fag. |
They remastered "killing...." back in 01' or 02' becuase the original was so trashy lol so thats the only remaster i have. all the albums sound fine to me and im not gonna get the remasters unless i lose or break a cd. i like alot of Risk, but not all of it...their weakest album anyway you slice it. "breadline" "insomnia" and "prince of darkness" are all awsome Mega-worthy songs to the groups catalogue though.

Killing... is ace and the production is ace too! It's supposed to be raw! SFSGSW however had TERRIBLE production.

my bad, i read it quite a while ago so my memory on it isnt so good |

i thought they woke him up one morning, told him he had 20 minutes to pack and that they had booked a flight for him. This is from an interview with metal forces magazine with Dave: "Basically," Mustaine told Metal Forces fanzine shortly after re-emerging with his new band, Megadeth, "when they told me to leave I packed in about 20 seconds and I was gone. I wasn't upset at all as I wanted to start a solo project during the middle of Metallica anyway". |

First point: Exactly. And the old artwork is ace. WAAY better that the re-release. Second Point: EFGDNFGLJDNT@$%@!#~~~~!!!! SFSGSW, in my opinion, has the best production and the best song writing out of any megadeth album. I've listen to it about 20 times in the past week, and i must say, the whole atmosphere is just insanely dark. It's excellent. While the production is technically very good, the record couldn't have sounded better. NP: In My Darkest Hour |
anyone else seen the system has failed e-card?

Yea ok, thats what I thought you meant. I liked most of the songs on Risk but some of the ones Bud co-wrote, like Crush em', I wasn't too fond of. Other than that its a pretty good album to me. |

oh right, thats kinda lame of them because they didnt give Dave a chance but they gave James a chance with his problems. Maybe its because they all had some kind of problem at the point Hetfield was in rehab
|

Yeah, but im glad they got rid of him, i mean, without that moment Megadeth would never have existed, i can't imagine that. |
true, i just hope they can patch things up
|
Yeah, that would really hurt me. Someone just wake you up and tell you to get out without warning or seemingly a reason. Man now I really want to get the behind the music. Oh and the new e-card is awesome http://megadeth.com/e_card/index.html, if you haven't seen it in the titans yet.
|
I would love to go to one of their concerts!
I got into Megadeth about a year ago, and I have never seen them live. They are now, one of my favorite bands. That would be like a life hanging expirience. haha |

I would rather see exodus or testament, than anthrax. |
Behind the music is amazing, but there is sooo much that happened after they made it, like Dave hurting himself, Ellefson not in the Band no more, etc.....who knows maybe they come out with another one 5 years from now or something like that!

How did Dave hurt himself? Something to do with his arm or hand right? |
