So I'm planning out my cooking show for my site. Here's what I've got so far.

1. Crock-Pot BBQ (pulled pork, ramen noodle pasta salad)
2. Condiments (Russian dressing, guacamole, Moroccan spice rub)
3. Salads (spinach and mandarin orange, orange and date, caramel apple)
4. Alcohol (Red devil, hot chocolate, apple pie, Witching Hour)
5. Pasta Alfredo
6. Iron Chef Witching Hour: Mushrooms
7. Dressings and Croutons (Vinaigrette, sourdough croutons, ranch)
8. King’s Breakfast (bacon-egg-&-cheese sandwiches, applesauce muffins, hot chocolate mix)
9. Sandwiches (monte cristo, spicy steak subs, stromboli)
10. Muffins (lemon ginger, orange, banana)
11. Dessert (German pancakes, fried ice cream, peanut butter pudding sandwiches)
12. Iron Chef Witching Hour: Garlic

I hope this is a good start. Feedback?

I wanted Witching Hour Productions to have a free section and a pay section. The pay section was to help cover costs of anything I produce that costs more than 2 figures.

Among the stuff available in the free section will be a series updated twice a month called Chow Hounds: the Bachelor's Cooking Show. The show will feature recipes that in general are inexpensive and easy to make, and a few more up-scale ones for special occassions.

The Iron Chef Witching Hour is an over-the-top parody of, what else, Iron Chef. Viewers submit their own original recipes according to the theme ingredient and I get a couple friends to cook them and pit them against the creations of the resident iron chefs. Friends and family are the judges. If your recipe is selected, you get credit for the submission and a free T-shirt. If your recipe beats the that of the iron chef, you also get a free chef's hat, and a couple of Witching Hour goodies.

I'm still hammering out the details.

Due to go live this month, yes.

Alex is mad successful, yo. Help I'm acting like Mappy

I like the concept and layout of the cooking show, Alex. I'm assuming the dishes in brackets are the ones that will be prepared each show?

Correct. I try to either give three recipes with a theme (like sandwiches), or a complete meal.

big80smullet 11-06-2007 07:39 AM

If you want any help on the alcohol section (im a pretty mad bartender) just say the word cause ive got awesome cocktails coming out my ***

Why did mappy get banned?

Apocalyptic Raids 11-06-2007 07:43 AM

For liking Job For A Cowboy.

Transient 11-06-2007 07:43 AM

Because Jelle hates him for making a thread about Belgium sucking.

big80smullet 11-06-2007 07:50 AM

Wait did he get banned for that? i thought jelle took away all his rep for that.

and job for a cowboy aren't that bad.

Transient 11-06-2007 07:52 AM

I'm pretty sure he took his rep away and then banned him a day later.

big80smullet 11-06-2007 07:55 AM

oh funny. perm'd or just for a while?

Transient 11-06-2007 07:56 AM

I doubt he would perm him, but for a while at least.

I'm off to bed, later days guys.

I really hate my bank. In the four years I've been with them it's been one fuck up after another. Now it seems they've ripped me off $200 and made it impossible to get through to anybody.

I needed that money to get a job done and pay for my insurance. Now I'm fucked.

Sucky dude. I got screwed out of $100 back in September, so I feel you and shi.

gmoneyguy 11-06-2007 12:27 PM

I make mad stacks.

AA-12 11-06-2007 12:37 PM
I just installed Leopard. =D
How is it? I was considering getting it soon (probably for christmas).

Tyr 11-06-2007 12:39 PM

I'd also like to know.

Kage 11-06-2007 12:47 PM

It's great. There's really no downside to having it, only additional features that are pretty cool. There's a download stack that keeps things nice and organized, you can have different "spaces," and the Time Machine feature would be awesome if I had a harddisk with which to use it.

I have heard that if you don't have much ram, certain things can be a little bumpy until they patch it up, but with my 3GB everything is silky smooth.

Oh, and the live preview thing in Finder is kickass. You can read Word documents/watch movie files without opening them.

Tyr 11-06-2007 12:49 PM

Now I'm envious.

superpeer 11-06-2007 12:51 PM

What on Middle Earth is Leopard?

Kage 11-06-2007 12:53 PM

Yeah, 2GB is fine.

Like I said, though, there's really no reason not to get it. It's really well done and cool-looking too.

AA-12 11-06-2007 12:53 PM

How much is the upgrade?

Kage 11-06-2007 12:54 PM

I got it free, so I don't really know.

Tyr 11-06-2007 12:55 PM
What on Middle Earth is Leopard?
The newest Mac OSX upgrade. I have Tiger, the earlier version.

superpeer 11-06-2007 01:06 PM

Oh. Mac.

I don't have a Mac, Mac. (:

Tyr 11-06-2007 01:08 PM

You little jester, you.

Would Leopard run smoothly if I only have 1 GB RAM?

Kage 11-06-2007 01:10 PM

I've actually run across a bug in the Finder, which is slightly annoying.

I dunno, I'm sure 1GB would be sufficient to run it, though it might be a little rough around the edges.

Tyr 11-06-2007 01:12 PM

That's what I thought, as well. Well, I'll have to wait 'til I buy a new computer, I guess.

Kingofdudes 11-06-2007 01:28 PM

I need a haircut bad, but I am afraid of barbers :(

superpeer 11-06-2007 01:31 PM

What about stylists?

gmoneyguy 11-06-2007 01:33 PM

They bumped his appointment twice.

Tyler 11-06-2007 01:35 PM

I want Leopard.

Kingofdudes 11-06-2007 01:39 PM

Im about to just say **** it and just go to fantastic sams or something. I would go to a stylist over here, but I dont know of any good places :/

Ugh, had to suffer through that last awkward haircut for like 5 months :(
