Incredible live video of When. Stellar.
Cool vid. I was chuchkling at the insane length of Per's hair. But I was dissapointed that they didn't play the end of it as that is my favourite part of the song.

i am the robots 03-06-2006 12:50 PM

Per's hair is really really long, it's cool though.

I really like the backing vocals he does at their live shows, he's a good replacement for Stephen Wilson (on the older stuff).

Of course they're going to play the end, the video just ends before they get to it unfortunately.

Is there somthing wrong with them? I must assure you that I'm very very straight, but who doesn't like to look pretty?

TojesDolan 03-06-2006 03:13 PM

uh, live "when". That's gotta be a nice watch.

What guitar picks they use? And if possible, post the thickness of them (thin, medium, whatever). I use really, really thin ones (.38 mm last time I checked), but A lot of people like the larger ones.

lol this kids and their Opeth.
Just a side note, the vocal harmony 8:55 into Advent makes me go
Yeah, great part

Shadows 03-06-2006 05:23 PM

I downloaded My Arms, Your Hearse again after a long absence. I'm reminded of why this was my favorite album of their's for the longest time.

Christ, why do I not own every album this band has written yet?

T-2 posts and counting :)

Cool man, MAYH is so amazing. It's probably my 2nd favorite.

Now you can reply to this and be one step closer to 1,000 posts hah
Heh, that's a weird coincidence that we were right next to each other the whole time. Didn't you say that the pick was the same that you use?
Yah that's awesome that there happened to be just enough room for you to squeeze up to the rail.

And yes, Peter uses the blue Dunlop Tortex picks, 1.0 mm. I usually use the same, once in a while going up to 1.14 mm. It's kind of a shame though, since now I show it to people and I have to be like "I swear it's not just one of my picks."

Shattered_Future 03-06-2006 06:19 PM

They didn't throw out any picks at my concert.

Mikael gave one to this chick on the railing though because she made a sign with "Give Me A Pick, Mike" on it. Smart girl...

Kaiwaz 03-06-2006 07:27 PM

In that case, the next time I go I'm making a sign that says ''Gimme your guitar, Mike''

Thor 03-06-2006 07:35 PM

I'd bring a sign that said "Opeth, come home with me" :thumb:

Kaiwaz 03-06-2006 07:38 PM

 yeah. ''Come play in my backyard''

Shattered_Future 03-06-2006 07:40 PM

"Play at my birthday party!"

Actually, that would be ridiculous if they did that...

Stormrider 03-06-2006 07:43 PM

Haha Opeth in my backyard !

I don't think the neighborhood would be too happy though. Oh well, they'd live with it. :p

I'm doing that on Wednesday. :D It'll be sweet...

Kaiwaz 03-06-2006 07:46 PM

Especially my neighborhood...not to mention I only know 1 other person in this town that even knows who Opeth is, and I've lived here for 28 years. :amaze:

Creepy.

I introduced my health class and a few Asian girls in Pit to Opeth through various methods. Needless to say, none of them took too kindly to the group...

Kaiwaz 03-06-2006 08:01 PM

 Yeah, I've tried to get people into them, and of course, they can't get into the screaming and think it's music for satan. Oh well, their ignorance makes me laugh.

Bethelen 03-06-2006 08:02 PM

Hey! I resent that! You know I like the soft parts they play!!

Shattered_Future 03-06-2006 08:04 PM

Oh God, my friend and I handed in our National History Day project today. Theme: Taking A Stand.

Our theme: Black Metal: Taking A Stand Against The Accepted Norms Of Society.

Put it this way: If you were a preppy, and saw two people wheeling a posterboard with a giant inverted cross at the top with a bunch of pictures of people in corpsepaint, what would you do?

Quite funny, really, because our teacher thought our project was one of the best.

Kaiwaz 03-06-2006 08:19 PM

Honey, I was reffering to Mikaels fierce growling. I know you like the Damnation stuff and other songs without Mike's growls.

Shadius 03-06-2006 08:46 PM

Sounds like we might have an Opeth related domestic on our hands here.

Kaiwaz 03-06-2006 08:52 PM
I'm doing that on Wednesday. :D It'll be sweet...
Just make a sign that says ''Play Black Rose Immortal!''

Stormrider 03-06-2006 08:58 PM

I wonder if they will ever play that. And with how Mikael's growl sounds today...hmm.

Deth 03-06-2006 09:00 PM

They play the earlier songs, so there's no reason they couldn't/

Kaiwaz 03-06-2006 09:02 PM

Yep, and might I add Under The Weeping Moon was creepy, sounded really good.

Shattered_Future 03-06-2006 09:23 PM

That it did, aside from the fact that it almost blew up my ears with feedback...

Moses 03-06-2006 09:26 PM

I remember you saying he didn't sign it either too so that sucks.
