BGSU. My brother went there for 3 years as an art major so I've seen the campus and can't stand it. I'm looking for a small private school very far from home. I just hope the school I'm looking at will offer me some cash.
BGSU?

Bowling Green State Uni?

My best guess.

Yes! I've proven ESPN CollegeDay to be educational.

not just endless sports banter

Shadows 03-31-2006 07:54 PM

I wouldn't know, I don't care about sports at all.

Except the truly inspiring sports like women's jellowrestling.

I'm a rabid sports fan.

Baseball
Basketball (NBA & College)
Football (NFL, College and sometimes AFL)
Boxing
Kickboxing
Hockey

I dislike womens sports though.

I know almost anything past & current about the main sports. :thumb: I've read the box scores in the newspaper since I was five and read so many stats over the years.

haha. I'll stop while I still have my dignitiy.

I was thinking Oil wrestling > jello

Sports is one way to seperate the Men from the Boys.

Shadows 03-31-2006 08:04 PM

I used to love to watch football and play baseball, but that all stopped when I picked up the guitar. I never knew stats or history.

I was joking about the women's thing. :p

As was I.

Meh. I want a new guitar, but don't have the funds.

I'm sick of my Jackson. It plays and sounds 110% great.

It's just the FR is a bitch and I'm sick of it. I took it off and that was okay. The only difference was it took 5 seconds to re tune after 5-10 minutes instead of 2 minutes with FR on.

Same time to fall outta tune. haha.

I took the strings off and cleaned any dust from it. Now it's in my closet. :p

Shadows 03-31-2006 08:52 PM

FR can be a pain in the ***, but the sound and playability is worth it. I just got a new guitar with a fixed bridge so I have a variety, both Jacksons (not counting my acoustic). :)

Sleepy 03-31-2006 08:52 PM

I used to be real heavy into sports...played/watch a lot of Football, Baseball, Basketball, etc.

I hurt my back irreparably early in the 6th grade football season so it pretty much rules out competitive sports for the rest of my life. Kinda sucks, because I wasn't bad at them.

Naturally, I started getting into other things. For a while it was computers, so now I'm *fairly* computer literate. Then I moved on to music. I still maintain a day job working in IT, but I focus more on listening to and playing as much music as possible.

Hmm. I don't see a difference in sound & playability on guitars with FR and without.

It was my first Electric Guitar and I had no idea how big a pain in the arse FR would be.

I was set on a Shecter with strings through the body. Then I played the Jackson and loved how well it played, the bridge and most of all how well it sounded.

haha. Now I'm truly ****ed.
Since I despise this guitar and don't have the funds for another one. Trade in would be nothing, maybe half a cent?
haha. They give nothing for trading in.

To Fury:
I'm real good with computers. I can write web pages, (yes lol) malware scripts, fix problems on my Desktop and Laptop. Decent with Linux. Though NOT great.

What have you been learning? Computers are something to learn since everything is going towards techy stuff.

Mostly hardware construction/modification - I love tinkering with the hard stuff, coding and programming just seem beyond me most of the time. Learning how to build web pages seems worthwhile enough, so if I have some spare time I'll probably try to DL a course on it. I also fiddle around with 3D rendering and graphics.

I'll be back in a half hour or sooner.

I meant that if the guitar sounds and plays great, I would definitely keep it. The annoying FR is something I'd be more than willing to deal with. While my DKMG sucks to tune, it sounds and plays great, and I would never get rid of it.

Charming, you say you're good with computers? Could you help me out with something tonight? In about 5 minutes my internet will shut off due to this school's firewall, but I have found a way around it on AIM. Could you do me a favor and hit me up on AIM tonight.

Thanks man.

Hey, would you mind getting on MSN for a couple minutes? I want to ask you about something. It won't take long.

MegaMustaine 04-01-2006 12:17 AM

I just got back from seeing Children of Bodom. The show was awesome, and I was in the first row, so I could see everything. Through the eyes of the dead is lame, but Bodom was awesome.

They played almost all of my favorite songs except Bodom Beach Terror and Children of Bodom. Great show.

Hmm. They combined "Bodom After Midnight/BBT" at mine. They switched the verse and chorus each time.

That's quite impressive there.

To clear it up: I've studied German & Spanish. I'm not fluent in either though. Just want to clear that up.

I can read and understand a decent amount of german. I'm not fluent though.

I've forgotten the spanish besides the basics.

I'm Charming 04-01-2006 06:44 AM

Well. Goodnight MX.

It's 4:37am and I would like to get a little sleep.

I've got a full sets of tricks for April Fools tomorrow.

Including:

The stove being on fire
Leaking water pipe
Maybe if I feel really cocky, disconnect the battery on one of my parents cars. I'll have to see what I roll with.

Josh: Your up at like, 7 30 ehh? Just hope that guitar isn't an April Fools joke on ya.

AA-12 04-01-2006 06:52 AM

Oh damnit, now you have me scared :-X

Doubt my parents would do that though, haha. 'Night man.
