Final Fantasy thread peer pressure |
I didn't think I'd ever live to see the day when people apologized for not posting...
That cover is rather awesome, I just listened. Who was in the final line-up for it? Moses, I like your louder vocals compared to the softer intro etc. I think you sounded a little hesitant there or something, but otherwise great job. You improved as they song progressed. |
My favourite Tool filler song is Eon Blue Apocalypse.
I also like this filler, but it sounds even better when you put it before pu**** live* instead of the patient. |
My favorite filler Tool songs are:
Eon Blue Apocalypse Message to Harry Manback Faaip de Oiad. |
Eon Blue Apocalypse is also my favorite Tool filler. i like (-)ions and Falip de Oidad too.
|
Gmac, the 46&2 cover was r0und3r on guitar and bass, and his brother Matter did the drums. Obviously, Moses did the vox.

I need to redo it obviously. I was actually redoing Lateralus today but then my mom came home. |
Moses- I'm listening to This Godless Endeavor, and it owns. :-D Glad I took the hour to download it. The guitar parts, minus the shredding, sounds a helluva lot like the guitarwork that my friend uses in his music. Does Loomis play a 7 string?
|
Yeah they play seven-strings. Also all the songs on the album are just as good if not better than the title track.
I still can't pick a favorite but Born and My Acid Words are the ones I listen to most. NP: Born |
I'll download them both and decide for you.
|
The solo to The Final Product is godly. I'm going to learn that.
|
Hi guys,
Any news on when the new album is out? I'll probably keep popping my head in every few weeks to check as I heard it was supposed to be out earlier this year, bt I've heard nothing... Fallen Angel |
When there's an official release date...you'll know. Until then, all of us are in the dark.
|
what do you guys use to record your music? do you use those home studio devices, or some sort of pc program?
|
Most of us use computer microphones and Audacity.

Where's the love for Intermission? You just gotta love it. |
I don't see intermission as filler.. .. Well.. Sort of.. But it still rocks
|
Intermission is an awesome track. Me and my friend always drive around town with it on full blast, just to freak people out. it's quite the tactic.
|
 That sounds funny...
I don't see intermission as filler.. .. Well.. Sort of.. But it still rocks
Yeah, it's filler, but that doesn't stop it rocking! It's better than Jimmy. |
Sounds like a hoot /bill hicks voice
What happened to sonorkens singer? Was he ever gonna sing on some of the covers? |
He's not been back since that one night he was posting. :-/ I'll ask Ken if I see him on AIM.
|
:\ I want the New ****ing Album.. GRRRR WHEN DOES IT COME, I heard sometime in january..
|
It's better than Jimmy.
I agree... Jimmys a weak track... Its still good though. |
I actually think jimmy is one of their best songs! i love the part when maynard sings "under a dead ohio sky..." its just my opinion though
|
i like Jimmy
|
I love jimmy.
How can you not love "Im Heading Back hoooOOoooOoooOoOOme"? |
I love jimmy.
How can you not love "Im Heading Back hoooOOoooOoooOoOOme"?
Quoted for absolute truth. |
I cant take Jimmy and H in the same sitting. Its either one or the other. thats why its useful there's a few tracks between the two.
|

I was actually redoing Lateralus today but then my mom came home.
That would be the reason then, I thought something sounded funny. I'll look foward to hearing you at your full potential :thumb: |
Hmm...it's odd, because Jimmy and H are probably the two songs I'd single out to listen to from Aenima right now. Although I prefer to listen to the whole album anyway.
|
At first, I really didn't like Jimmy all that much, but I guess it's grown on me a bit. I've seen the deeper side of it once or twice while listening to it, but it's one of those "I have to be in the right frame of mind" type of songs, like Disposition.
|
I just love the atmosphere of it. And the beginning lyrics are really creepy and cool. Probably my second favorite on Aenima, behind Third Eye.
|
To me, Jimmy is the darkest song on Aenima. Most people don't like that one, maybe because it's not flashy like Forty-Six & 2, mysterious like Eulogy, or evolving as in Third Eye. It's a needed song on an album such as Aenima, where almost every song is a standout track.
|
Its good to see that everytime we try and identify a weak track, we cant. :)
|
jimmy is an excellent song.....I don't see why people say it's weak, it's a great song.
Just got back from my weighlifting tests for football, they played 'Stinkfist'...I don't recall if it edited the 'knuckle, finger, elbow, shoulder' bits, cause it was kinda loud in the weightroom. |
It is needed, it is dark in a good way, has some sweet melodies/riffs and lyrics. But its beaten in all those categories by other songs on the cd. I prefer H.
|
Think if Jimmy was on Undertow. It would be one of the best tracks. :p
|

4 DEGREES  First rob, now you. I may love that song too much |
Jimmy is the darkest on Ænima, so that's why I like it.
The darkest on Lateralus would have to be The Grudge or Ticks and Leeches. I can't pick one for Undertow, that whole album is dark, it just exudes darkness and despair. Opiate, I don't think it has a darkest track, though my favorite on that would have to be Jerk-Off. |
Think if Jimmy was on Undertow. It would be one of the best tracks. :p
Quoted to emphasize a certain part. 4 Degrees and Prison Secks are both awesome. Best on Undertow, methinks. |
