Looks cool. I need to decide if I should wait for the new shirts. I think I will.

Syncratic 07-11-2005 06:58 PM

Night, MX

This is so exciting!

Dude3 07-11-2005 06:58 PM

So far, I going to order a Foreign Objects and Lamb of God shirt. I'll get some more.

Huber 07-11-2005 07:16 PM

What do you guys think about DC starting to use all Electronic drums?

I hope he finds a unique way of playing them, because I'm not a fan of them at all. Plus, I think his acoustic/electric kit was very cool.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-11-2005 07:19 PM

He's using all electronic drums? Where'd you read that?

Huber 07-11-2005 07:21 PM

www.dannycarey.org

Under his technology section on "future" it reads that on the next Tool tour he will be using new drums, and it shows a picture of purple electronic drum pads in a foam case.

He's planned this for awhile. I saw it in an interview where they asked him why he switched. He didn't give a real reason, but he said it wasn't because his old "mix kit" was bad, he really likes it. I guess he just wanted a change.

Edit:

That site is awesome btw, some really good reads.

Futuro 07-11-2005 07:36 PM

jeff ocheltree created his bronze kit which he will still be using, he is only using "newer" simmons pads and since simmons shut down in the 80's, he is getting them from the man himself. read the april 2005 drum magazine very closely, you will read he has not given up acoustic drums.

I enjoy the electronic drums.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-11-2005 08:14 PM

More than you might believe. Read the past 5 or so pages.

I found out the news a bit before thirteenth step "released" the info. Hopefully it won't leave this forum. Anyway this thread is going like crazy.

There's my myspace if anyone wants it.
I got the info from Blair.
Were you originally not supposed to tell anyone and is he not gonna tell you stuff anymore?

How did I kill the thread again?

Mr Herb 07-11-2005 08:58 PM

If our sources are correct, the new album comes out Sept. 25th or 26th...

ANd MJK has a myspace:

This thread is moving way too slow, considering what we found out today. This thing should be moving like the Lock Thread!!!!!

I ordered Foreign Objects, Lamb of God, and Alice in Chains shirts. Does anybody know where I can get a classic Death shirt?

dUSK 07-11-2005 09:04 PM
How did I kill the thread again?
 That saying got old really quickly.
ANd MJK has a myspace
I'm pretty skeptical about that. It doesn't seem like something the members of Tool would openly have.

Mr Herb 07-11-2005 09:07 PM

I think his my space is real. It dsnt tell much info from him. wich is what he wanted.

but all the stuff he psoted one could learn from interviews and apc.com so. . .it could ve been made by someone who has read everything about em.

nothing i read on mjs my space was really new to me.

I'm not sure. I think he intended for me to tell someone, otherwise he wouldn't have said anything. i mean come on, did he really expect someone to keep a secret that big? I think it was a bit pre planned on Blair's part.

How tha hell do you know blair?

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-11-2005 09:12 PM

Herb- Ok, we all know he's a quiet guy. It's not like the creator would dig up a bunch of info on him and think the gimmick would be taken seriously. I really doubt it's real.
