I don't like that one as much as As the Eternal Cowboy. Both are great though.

Wonderful song.

I'm going to approach a friend about his band covering C.R.E.A.M.

That's the original shit, though. It's louder and rawer and sloppier.

Acoustic EP > all though.

Fuggazi - Repeater

I've spent a hell of a lot of time travelling in cars over the last couple of weeks, so I managed to listen to a lot of stuff. Nothing new though.

Most recently: Elvis Costello, Radiohead, Nada Surf, The Smiths, Pixies, Beck, Hot Snakes, The Flaming Lips, Talking Heads and Queens of the Stone Age.

Have you seen them live? I don't really like that album, but I'm thinking of going to see them when they come soon. I'm thinking it would be fun.

Bartender 01-19-2006 10:49 AM

Took the time to actually search through my music and find a specific album (William Shatner - Has Been), as I got bored of Sharona. Love this album, though.

Mexican Bandito 01-19-2006 11:04 AM

I'm really liking Minus The Bear right now. They have a great upbeat sound :)
I got their discography a few weeks back and it's not been off my playlist.

sketchyjoe 01-19-2006 11:09 AM

I'm still experiencing the joys of a massive 80s hardcore trip. It's nice to know that the track your listening to will segue into something just as angry and bitter by a completely different band.

br3ad_man 01-19-2006 04:35 PM

I've been listening to Vespertine this morning. I think I will listen to Paul's Boutique in a minute.

Zappa 01-19-2006 04:35 PM

I just got the first four Talking Heads albums on DualDisc in the mail.:D

br3ad_man 01-19-2006 04:38 PM

Woah.

I'm waiting for some albums in the mail too. They include Mogwai and The Stooges. I can't remember everything I ordered though. I'm also waiting for Burt's cd, which I will no doubt dig when I get it.

I had to dig out my Wu-Tang mp3s to remember exactly how it goes... and I must say, I just might have to steal that idea.

Zmev 01-19-2006 06:46 PM
I've also been digging Bright Eyes. I bought Fevers and Mirrors, Digital Ash in a Digital Urn and Lifted, all of them are awsome.
Fuck. Yeah. (to The Police. Haven't heard Rosa. Maybe I'll check em out?)

I've been listening to November 10 by Pko practically non-stop the past couple days. I uploaded a song and made a thread about them but nobody's said anything :upset:. They're from the states, I don't know where though.

So I watched all the DVD video footage. As a shameless Talking Heads fanboy, I found this a huge, huge treat. I would definitely recommend picking this stuff up.

I also listened to the stereo versions (I don't have a surround system) of Talking Heads: 77 and am playing More Songs About Buildings For Food right now. These new stereo mixes sound amazing. Much fuller and more dynamic.

Aceyalone & RJD2 - Magnificent City

I mentioned it a while back but I'm still on it. It's a really fantastic album, one that I'd imagine will stay on my favorites for the rest of the year, mainly for the first two songs. But it's strong all the way through. It comes out Feb. 7th, don't forget. I'm sure it leaked by now.

Also listened to Rolling Stones' Aftermath today.

I was drooling over them at the store the other day. I should have just got it over with and bought 'em.

Sounds fantastic. I may have to pick up Talking Heads: 77 on DualDisc.

I've been digging Suicide Invoice by Hot Snakes.

I bet they sound nicer than my vinyl copies.

Zappa 01-19-2006 07:50 PM

I have More Songs About Buildings And Food on vinyl, and it's definitely an improvement. I actually heard that album on vinyl first, and was turned off by it, and I reckon it was because of the flat mix. Of course upon further listens, I fell in love with the album, but this mix makes it even better.

I still don't have that one, so when I pick it up, I'll get that version.
