I lived in AZ from 3 -4 grade. I remember the weather being pretty pleasurable for the most part.

No apologies, man. Let's just forget about the past and look toward the future :D

I wish there were more bands like Infected Mushroom. Heavy metal you can dance to \m/

i am the robots 01-26-2006 02:44 PM

You can dance to the uber popular post-thrash pseudo hardcore garbage too.... well actually just pretend to fight invisible ninjas.... but they call it dancing!

You go too far sir! Killswitch is different though... they were one of the early bands in that movement, and each of their albums is different... plus they don't blow ass.

Deconstruction 01-26-2006 02:48 PM

I have a KSE poster in my room, its the one after EOH in your avatar, their dvd...
/cant remeber the title.

They may be post-thrash/pseudo-hardcore but they're not garbage .

Same goes for Unearth and Shadows Fall.

(Set This) World Ablaze

kurrpt 01-26-2006 03:17 PM

i think i might have heard like 1 song for KSE...

missing out huh?

gmoneyguy 01-26-2006 03:19 PM

Their guitarist is a good producer, I like they work he did with FATA.

Shadows 01-26-2006 03:19 PM

Pseudo-hardcore? I never saw the hardcore in most of those bands. KSE more then others, but I've never heard Underoath.

i am the robots 01-26-2006 03:20 PM

Depends... if you like a nice dose of shun-dun-dun shun-dun-dun-woo then yes.

Actually, I personally would think you are, but you might not like them. They used to be pretty thrashy, melodic, and heavy, then they started putting more and more focus on melody and clean singing and have improved greatly, though I prefer their old singer, Jesse Leeche's clean singing, to their new singer Howard Jones' clean singing.

kurrpt 01-26-2006 03:20 PM

i finally got to hear some shadows fall at my drummers place (on demand cable) I thought it sounded pretty tight.

I see a lot of KSE stuff on TV or what have you, but they refuse to play "good" music on our local radio stations

gmoneyguy 01-26-2006 03:22 PM

As far as im concerned they can't touch Lazare vocally.

That's why I'm saying pseudo-hardcore, because kids who don't know what hardcore is think that that stuff is hardcore.

Also you missread, I said Unearth, not Underoath. As for Underoath they went from melodic death metal to post-hardcore in like two years.
As far as im concerned they can't touch Lazare vocally.
Who is that? and regardless Howard and Jesse are still both great singers.

NP: Killswitch Engage - Take This Oath

This song is freaking great because both Howard and Jesse sing in it, and Adam (one of their guitarists) does great backing vocals.

kurrpt 01-26-2006 03:23 PM

i get lost in the genre-game

im not sure how people would characterize this stuff in a music store. You'd think there would be fist fights every day about this sh!t

Deconstruction 01-26-2006 03:24 PM

Anyone here like Eminem?

Not really, a lot of the people who are picky over genre are the metalheads, and typically music stores are corporately run, and so the kids who work there normally don't have a passion for metal, though luckily the singer from Farnaum (a local melodic thrash band) works at the local FYE and so he makes sure they get good metal cds in.
Singer for Age of Silence.
Oh man, he is really good, but he's a different type of singer.
Anyone here like Eminem?
I like his demos and his first three albums, as well as his work on the first D12 album, then he went downhill.

Shadows 01-26-2006 03:26 PM

Oops, I meant Unearth. I guess it doesn't matter, because I don't know either of those bands. :p

Deconstruction 01-26-2006 03:27 PM

Anyone know that Dave Mathhews band song that has a melancholy feel to it...It might start with mandolin...

Hes is a different kind of singer, but his range is sick. I'm a tenor and I have to sing flasetto sometimes just to match his pitch.

i was really serious about all that...

youd have to admit it, walking into music store and seeing dudes throw down for misrepresenting his favorite thrash, psuedo hardcore, melodic death metal band...

Maybe I'm alone here, but isn't that basically every Dave Matthews song?
