My membership is so cheap, it's actually amazing. $30 CDN a month for a "youth". But once I turn 18 (which is closing in) it's going to go up... way up. :(
Yeah, I get a cheap membership through work. $22 AU a month. That's a bloody good deal. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have joined.
Oh, oh my oh my.
This reminds me of that Violent Femmes song.

Little Man being Erased 05-31-2005 09:32 PM
I'll probably buy a CD this afternoon. Which one should I get out of this list:

The Afghan Whigs - Gentlemen
Deltron 3030 - Deltron 3030
Pixies - Doolittle
Tom Waits - Rain Dogs
Can anyone help me out here?

:(

Bartender 05-31-2005 09:34 PM

Not really, i've only heard Doolittle in full, from that list. It's worth buying, though. And the one Afghan Whigs song I've heard was really really really good.

Little Man being Erased 05-31-2005 10:27 PM

Yeah, I'll probably just end up buying whatever is cheaper anyway.

morrissey 05-31-2005 10:47 PM

So I just got back from the Killers show in Toronto. They exceeded my expectations for sure, it was quite good.

Openers Tegan and Sara and Louis XIV were meh, but that's what you get when a new band is the headliner.

Same :thumb:

Everyone should just go to my school, that way you get to use the gym for $20 per term or $80 per year.

How old are you?

br3ad_man 06-01-2005 12:37 AM

Sixteen. I'll be 17 in October.
Sixteen. I'll be 17 in October.
Oh yeah I forgot. How long do you have to stay in ''highschool" in Australia. You are in Australia right?

br3ad_man 06-01-2005 01:28 AM

Yes I'm in Australia. People normally finish year 12 when they are 17, but due to my going to the USA for 3 years, I'm a grade behind where I started when I first started school. If I hadn't gone to the USA I would be finishing this year, but since I did I'll be finishing next year.
Wow.

Let's pretend the bolded part isn't the most pretentious piece of crap I've ever read in my life.
It's from Pitchfork magazine, what else would you expect?

Where in the US were you located at?

Good point.

Is it just me or is AMG giving good reviews to everything lately?

Christ man, I haven't heard the Waits CD, but the other 3 are all in my top 10 favourites of forever. You can't lose.

Bartender 06-01-2005 02:56 PM

If you want, I'll open it back up again for a little bit so we can quickly boost it to 1,000.
They had stage presence?
The singer did. The others were glued in place.

Little Man being Erased 06-01-2005 04:10 PM

Turns out the stupid CD shop didn't have any of the albums I was looking for yesterday. So I just bought Good News For People Who Love Bad News cause it was cheap.

TalkingHead 06-01-2005 04:11 PM
