me being welsh and everything, there's nothing better than mountain goats:thumb:

seriously though, they are good

cbmartinez 01-17-2006 07:49 PM

"Game Shows Touch Our Lives" I think was one of the tracks. It was all pretty good.

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 01-17-2006 08:39 PM

I am really getting into Death from Above 1979 recently.

They are excellent.

Daniel! 01-17-2006 09:10 PM
The Like - Are You Thinking What I'm Thinking?

I can't say whether it's good or not, because the first track is so great I've repeated it about eight times. They're like a less twee Eisley.
Boooooring.

Live, at least.

YDload 01-17-2006 10:03 PM

Ray Charles- some greatest hits thingy

I didn't know he had a song called "Let's Go Get Stoned." Much more tolerable than Grateful Dead or Phish anyway.

biografiend 01-17-2006 10:11 PM

Brian Eno - Another Green World
Lounge Lizards

I feel like Zappa.

london_calling 01-18-2006 01:47 AM

Broken Social Scene-Feel Good Lost.

I bought it the other day because I've been meaning to listen to them, and Feel Good Lost was the cheapest of their albums (I'm a bit strapped for cash). It took me a while to get into it, but now I havent stop playing it.It really sucks thgat the only gigs theyre playing in Australia are 18+.

I've also been digging Bright Eyes. I bought Fevers and Mirrors, Digital Ash in a Digital Urn and Lifted, all of them are awsome.

sketchyjoe 01-18-2006 02:47 AM

It's 8:45AM and I've already listened to Zen Arcade twice today.

I Was A Kaleidoscope 01-18-2006 02:53 AM

I've been slowly falling in musical love with Devendra Banhart.

You should've listened to Zen Arcade and then New Day Rising.

Then you should've gone and kicked some ass.

JonM 01-18-2006 07:31 AM
Holy shit! Feist!
Hahaaaaaa got him.

I've been digging lots of West Coast underground hip hop, and if you'd like me to introduce you to some of the best MCs you've ever heard in your life, let me know.

Floydfanatic 01-18-2006 12:19 PM

not really undergound, but subtitle is some pretty trippy west coast hiphop

Bukowski 01-18-2006 12:37 PM

The Clash - s/t
Black Flag - I Can See You EP

And everything i've got from Wipers, who are goddamn amazing.

Floydfanatic 01-18-2006 03:40 PM

now i must play trick bird

Bartender 01-18-2006 03:44 PM

I've been listening to the only three songs there are on this laptop.

Mylo - Drop The Pressure
The Knack - My Sharona
Electric Six - Gay Bar

At least I like them all, I suppose.

Iai 01-18-2006 03:55 PM

Arctic Monkeys
Nujabes
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan
Shpongle
The Zombies

asymm 01-18-2006 05:28 PM

Ray Charles used to be quite the junkie. I love his music.
I've also been digging Bright Eyes. I bought Fevers and Mirrors, Digital Ash in a Digital Urn and Lifted, all of them are awsome.
Are they? Are they really?

CarnageFairy 01-18-2006 06:51 PM

I downloaded Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers the other day.

God DAMN does it kick ***.
Califone - Quicksand/Cradlesnakes
Califone - Heron King Blues

oh man, these are excellent albums. Reminds me of a more experimental Iron and Wine/a better Wilco. Definitely give them a try.
I just got Quicksand/Cradlesnakes today, actually, and I don't know why I didn't get it before.

sketchyjoe 01-18-2006 07:09 PM

Lots of 80s hardcore.

Zappa 01-18-2006 07:23 PM

Wu-Tang is for the children.
