It wasn't as gory as I thought it would be.

I mean, it was gory, but nothing made me look away.

Retarded Chipple 04-25-2008 02:03 PM

^^^The tongue cutting scene is pretty horrible though.

they were supposed to go out tonight but my mom fell asleep and my dad never woke her up. she woke up at like 8 and she got all pissed and stuff.
jesus christ i have no idea why the hell they got back together.

billdrum 04-25-2008 08:55 PM

For the sake of the children?

Alf™ 04-25-2008 08:56 PM

billdrum, are you delighted with the modding of semi?

TimJim 04-25-2008 08:56 PM

if i had to guess

Permanent Solution 04-25-2008 08:57 PM
For the sake of the children?
bad reason to stay in a bad marriage tbh.

billdrum 04-25-2008 08:58 PM
billdrum, are you delighted with the modding of semi?
Didn't even know he was. Doesn't affect me in the least. Thanks for asking though.

fishbulb 04-25-2008 08:58 PM

Is it not better for the kids though?

billdrum 04-25-2008 08:59 PM
Is it not better for the kids though?
Usually it just contributes to unhappy kids with a bad example of how married people should relate.

Permanent Solution 04-25-2008 09:01 PM
Is it not better for the kids though?
idk is raising a child in a subtly hostile environment that ingrains the ideas of poor relationship management better than raising the child in separate homes? i doubt it.

Berk 04-25-2008 09:02 PM
bad reason to stay in a bad marriage tbh.
I agree.

Tbh ever since they've gotten back together, all we do is argue. the past 4 weeks have **** for me. I've been miserable. I actually enjoy going to school because I dont have to be at home surrounded by constant negativity.

Permanent Solution 04-25-2008 09:03 PM

Sorry to hear that mate :(

billdrum 04-25-2008 09:05 PM

Enjoy school? Things must be really bad....

Berk 04-25-2008 09:06 PM

yeah bro its all right.

billdrum 04-25-2008 09:09 PM

Seriously though, my parents finally divorced when I was a senior in HS...it was more of a relief than anything and I wished they had done it years earlier.

Permanent Solution 04-25-2008 09:10 PM

I'm so glad my parents continue to adore each other; I hold a much less cynical view of marriage than most people I know as a result I think.

Berk 04-25-2008 09:12 PM

its wierd for me to say that i actually want my parents to divorce. My mom was having mad financially troubles on her own while it seemed like my dad was doing awesome for supporting 3 kids and a house and stuff. If they were to split again. it would put her in a wierd place if they did decide to split.

Chippy569 04-25-2008 09:14 PM

true story, actually. I agree.

such a strange country here, the US.

Undisco Kidd 04-25-2008 10:25 PM

i always feel left out. my parents love eachother.

Static 04-25-2008 11:36 PM

The Say Anything drummer uses Istanbuls.

Cool.

Seafroggys 04-26-2008 12:28 AM

So yeah, I"m not sure how long that avatar will last you

Chippy569 04-26-2008 12:31 AM
i always feel left out. my parents love eachother.
that puts you into a strange demographic. When you stick someone who has relatively few, minor, problems in an environment where s/he with the worst environment wins, that person will actually search for, if not create, hardships.

just think about that for a moment. usually the kids that come from so-called "perfect" families are the ones who end up with the biggest problems, simply because they don't have problems.

weird, huh?

Chippy569 04-26-2008 01:06 AM

damnit, yesterday (friday) was the day of silence and i completely missed it.

Aaron 04-26-2008 02:55 AM

didn't you hear? kekeke.

is 28"x14" too big a bass drum? I can get one for $390AU.

i think it depends how you mount your toms. Mounting toms on a 28 would mean nigh on vertical tom angles [unless you are very tall]. but if you play a four piece with the rack tom mounted to the left side of the bass drum it might be more feasible, still, imo, not very comfy, as you would have to have the tom quite a way left of the bass drum.
its wierd for me to say that i actually want my parents to divorce.
I know exactly how ya feel. The last 5 years I've wanted my parents to split and go their separate ways. A month ago it finally happened... and as bill said.. what a relief it was.

I also got 2 separate birthday presents this year haha

an_original_name 04-26-2008 03:43 AM
is 28"x14" too big a bass drum?
Pretty much what gimp fest said. Trying to mount 2 rack toms on top of that would be a pain in the ***, even if they were only 7" or 8" deep.

how is everyone this morning?

T

Aaron 04-26-2008 03:52 AM
That's what I've always said about muffled heads. Slight sustain and overtones help the drum to cut through, honestly.
I agree. I love that people rave on about suspension systems and mounts etc, and then put two ply heads on their kits and make threads asking for tuning help. Idiots.

Janeway 04-26-2008 08:15 AM

I'm hungry.
