Get the album Close to a World Below if you get something by em, that's my favorite.
|
that and unholy cult
their older stuff is standard normal oldschool dm |
Yeah Dawn of Possession is cool but their later stuff is more unique and just better overall if you ask me.
|
definitely
|
heil immolation, glad to see more people talking about them
|
heil
|
agreed
|
i downloaded Revenant's Prophecies of a Dying World earlier
I got that one a couple weeks back since discovering a love for John McEntee and Paul Ledney's stuff. I've been pretty distracted though and haven't really listened to it thorougly yet.
heil immolation, glad to see more people talking about them
this thread has been favoring some regular Immolation discussion lately.
But yeah, I'll probably download the album tonight at some point.
It's good stuff. It refused to click with me at first though, I guess because the songs weren't that memborable right off the bat. |

Oh sweet I'll check some of the other albums cuz I've only heard DoP and it seemed pretty average. |
Yeah Close to a World Below is really good, I like Dawn of Possession but it's totally different from their later stuff.
That great because neither of them play on that album you retarded gibbon. Also im pretty sure youre the same retarded ****** who said Incantation - Onwards to Golgotha was crap. In conclusion, **** off non elite. |
lol you're a moron. whether or not they play on it is a non issue, my point was that I discovered it from listening to their other bands. And I've already explained (several times) why I didn't like Onwards to Golgatha when I listened to it for the first time.
In conclusion, nice try idiot. |
****ing **** after about 5 songs I officially declare Close to a World Below to be badassery to the finest.
|
I prefer Dawn of Possession, although:
NP: Unpardonable Sin better than I remembered |
I only have Here In After Immolation-wise but it is serious pwnage.
In other news I bought Disincarnate's Dreams of the Carrion Kind (cheaply) on a whim. Is it a worthy listen? |
Immolation is sweet. I'm still digging Kill by CC too.

How can you not like Onwards To Golgatha?
|
I'm currently spinning the new Origin album "Antithesis", it sounds pretty solid thus far.

b-a-n-a-n-a-s i win |
Cephalic Carnage have always impressed me. Truly psychotic blend of death metal and grind. Dying Will Be the Death of Me has, quite possibly, one of the most amusing music videos I have ever witnessed.

Everyone here sure does argue over some lulzy shizzle.

Yep, exactly. I have a deep-routed understanding of the mysterious ways of banana rituals and powers. In fact, I'm quite offended that you spelled banana incorrectly. :o |
any Commander fans? their new album kind of reminds me of the later Decapitated albums. i know some dont like the newer Decapitated albums but Commander play that style pretty well
|
play that style pretty good
well |
fixed it, my lack of writing skills is very easy to notice
|

They're amazing although that song sucks (though only because they wanted it to I suppose) |
They didnt want it to suck. It's just semi-serious, and that makes it actually being good all the more amazing. Plus, live, it's easily the most fun in their sets.
|
I am a death head.

Okay let me revise... it doesn't suck, but it intentionally stupid/hilarious at least for the chorus and the solo and the breakXdown. |
It only gets kind of lame in the last half but the beginning up to the chorus rules.
|

Kind of lame?! "DYYYYYYYYIIIIIINGGGG WIIIILLLL BE THE DEEEAAAAATH OF MEEEEEEE" /nickelback voice  |
No that part rules, that's the chorus. It's the incessant chugging that comes after which makes it lame and frustrating. But again, live, it slays.
|
DWBTDOM is ****ing awesome, get out haters
|
Isn't that the Cephalic Carnage song that at first glance sounds like a really overdistorted nu-metal tune?
|
It's a play on the mainstream metalcore.
