Run 'C:\Windows\Explorer.exe' or 'C:\WinNT\Explorer.exe.'? Just a wild stab in the dark by the way, you're probably fairly boned.

Cold showers are amazing when you have a fever. It'll get rid of it like right away.

Toaster 02-14-2006 06:34 PM

I have this really high pressure, water conserving showerhead, so cold showers are like being bombarded with thousands of BB's.
I really need to leave this site. This place does nothing but eat up my time every day. That's obviously my fault, but the only thing I can do is cut off completely. I feel kind of like that sometimes, not the depression part, but I know I'm on the internet too much.

I'm going back to uni to do honours very soon, so I'll be far too busy there, and it'll be good to do something more productive.

I just won Anathema - Eternity on ebay :) and :( at the same time, but mainly :)

Other than, probably, the SOAD or the Opeth Threads.

Didn't you used to post in S&L?

nobodyblossomsforever 02-14-2006 07:28 PM

You don't really need vast music knowledge. Just ask for recomendations, post your opinions, and make some friends or something. That's what I do at least.

Yes I still post in S&L, but it also gets boring, and most of the times I don't feel like lurking all over the bad poetry to get something that sends chill down my spine.

Although I shoud do that again sometime.

Haha, yes, S&L has its perks here and there son.

Once more though, why are the horrid rap metal bands all breaking up? it's unfair!

Just finished watching The Player. Great self-referential movie about Hollywood in the 90's. The ending really took me off-guard. Didn't see it coming at all.

And now, given how my art-o-meter is always tuned the opposite of everyone else's, I'm expecting someone to say they just saw Final Destination 3.

I saw Pink Panther, so it's the same difference.

I actually was surprised, it wasnt as bad as I'd thought, and it also wasnt as childish as I'd imagined. There were some references to the old movies, although I felt they focused a little to hard on the whole accent thing. Steve Martin is no Peter Sellers, but hey, it was still decent. Beyonce should not act, though.

It was disappointing if you compare it to the older ones (at least the ones with Peter Sellers), but I basically tried not to relate them.

If it's any consolation, my friends saw Final Destination 3 the other day, so you got to see a better movie. As I expected, they reported back to me that it was pure trash. A glorified snuff film with expensive gore effects.

How does garbage like that get greenlit aynway?

Better yet, HOW CAN YOU HAVE THREE FINAL DESTINATIONS.

Final Destination 4: No, really, we mean it this time.

Yes, it's been happening a lot for some reason.

I have been getting them a lot as well.

Steerpike 02-14-2006 09:51 PM

Cain, have you looked in the beginner questions section of the guitar forum tonight?

A guy wanted songs to impress people (read: women) and just like last summer, almost all of the posts were guys who have an extremely low opinion of non-musicians.

I wonder why you, myself, and a handful of others are the only ones who seem to understand the difference between the perspective of a musician and non-musician.

The last movie I saw was...Sexy Beast (starring Ben Kingsley), like two days ago. What does that mean?

It's called Sexy Beast because when Gal was still in the gangster life he used be a "sexy beast". Early in the movie Don Logan was asking why he changed, he says Gal could have had any girl he wanted as they were falling over each other for him.

Good movie by the way. Kingsley kicks ass.

"NO! NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! NOT THIS TIME, GAL! NO NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO NO NO NO NO! NOT THIS FUCKING TIME!"

I didn't want to know what the title meant (although I am glad you explained it), I actually want to know what it meant in Steerpike's "Art Meter" theory.
