There is no shame in obsessing over Doom II. Just think, if hell corrupted the Earth and monsters were attacking everything, you'd know how to defend yourself because you know how to use Berserk orbs and kill giant hellions with your BARE HANDS.

Meh, ebaums doesn't have all of them, though. Just go to the main site to watch them.

GI Joe Public Service Announcements

Scroll down until you see the PSAs. There are twenty-five, I believe.

Some of my favorites are the "Hey, kid! I'm a computer! Stop all the downloadin'!" and the "Barbecue sauce!" ones... oh, and "I just want to ride my moooooooooooooootorcycle."

But by far, my favorite is the housefire one:

"Oh shit! What the fuck? Get the fuck out of here! Go on, you stupid idiot! Go on, get the fuck out!

Man, that smelled delicious."

Heh heh heh. Funny stuff. So random, though.

NJMetalMeister 06-25-2005 09:38 AM

Alright GurS, here you go, i did th ebest i could. Some of the lines were very very idiomatic and i was unable to come up with an english equivalent, and some i jsut didnt understand. A couple words may have been misspelled a well because i did not know them, and could not find them. anyway, you can easily get the jist of it, so here you go:

HIGH LOVE/MY DEAR (yes that is high not hi)

In loving arms rests your (trunken = used for drunk but that makes no sense here)
The fruits of life wave at you
A glance only made me sink,
But I am rich with you (very idiomatic, doesn’t translate right)

The luck of the world I gladly measure,
And look, a martyr, hinan?
Then over me, in the golden distance
The sky opened wide

BLESSED DEAD

I was dead
Before (lovely delight?)
I lay buried
In your arms
I will be awoken
By your kisses
I saw the sky
In your eyes

OH LOVE, LOVE AS LONG AS YOU CAN

Oh love, love as long as you can
Oh love, love as long as you like
The hours come, the hours come
Where you stand and lament on graves

And sorrows, that your heart emits
And love nourishes, and love carries
So (long) another heart in love
strikes warmly against it

and who opens up your breast
Oh do it, what you can, to live
And do it each hour happily
And do it no hours with sorrow

And tend your tongue (must be an idiom)
Soon a hard (Worst?) flees
Oh god, it was not meant to be evil
The other goes and cries

Oh love, love as long as you can
Oh love, love as long as you like
The hours come, the hours come
Where you stand and lament on graves

Moses 06-25-2005 09:38 AM

I know..... the thing that makes it funniest is the theme at the end.

I'm working on "Juice" for you. I'm looking for one almost-perfect take. Usually I screw up one of his crazy harmonics. I'm getting there though, and I'll post it here for you to hear. :)

It's just his way with CDs. He has plenty of his own (mostly CD-Rs and compilations), but he never looks after them. Every CD he owns, more or less, has a broken case (if any case at all) and is scratched to all hell, or else dirty or otherwise rendered eventually unplayable.

So I know I shouldn't have lent him it, but I did.

Ah. I guess I'm lucky that my parents hate my taste in music. Except for Nightwish and the occasional Joe Satriani song in my mom's case.

How is that lucky? I'm glad that my mom and stepdad like most of the same music I do...I haven't even had to buy half the CDs I own (and I don't download albums either, that's just stupid).

Ad Absurdum 06-25-2005 10:19 AM

I thinkk it's bad when parents have the same taste in music as you. I haven't seen my copies of Annihilation of the Wicked, Octavarium, Awake or The Gallery bfor a couple of weeks because my dad just comes into my room and takes them. And he doesn't buy CD's either, just steals mine.

So that I don't have to deal with wondering where my albums are all the time and things like that as azathoth mentioned about.
Ah. I guess I'm lucky that my parents hate my taste in music. Except for Nightwish and the occasional Joe Satriani song in my mom's case.
Well my dad dislike a whole lot of what I listen to; he just likes little bits and pieces like, for example, Dylan.

It's just annoying though. I still have the music - copied to computer, and to my mp3 player - but the case and booklet are missing-presumed-dead, and the CD badly scratched.
EDIT: So I see
Yep. The only other (fortunately, the only other) CD of mine he's wrecked was Dre's 2001, which was especially weird because I left it at his house accidentally and he'd never have actually listened to it.

ATM 06-25-2005 10:44 AM

Afternoon, guys.

I went to an interesting party last night. It was waaay far away from my house, back by where I went to high school. A bunch of friends from high school were there, so it was cool to see some of them. Others I could have done without seeing.

Anyway, I had to drive 92 miles this morning to get home. After a night of drinking and smoking, that was quite a feat.

My girlfriend is in Europe :/ It sucks not being able to get in touch with her. She flew into England, and is taking a train all around.

In other news, I'm going spear fishing off the coast of Massachusetts in a few days, on the beach were Jaws was filmed.

That's at Martha's Vineyard, right?

ATM 06-25-2005 11:00 AM

Yup. It's about a 10 hour drive from Maryland. Then you have to take an hour boat ride over to the island.

It's cool there. They have no chain establishments, so everything is Mom and Pop type stores.

That rings true for most of Cape Cod, actually.

That is by far the best part about New England, and just about the only saving grace of living there.

any time man, i mean my german may not be perfect, but stuff like that i can do with minimal effort. Now if it was like death metal songs that are all medical terms, that would take me years to translate because i would need to look up every word haha.

and yes i was wondering what it was, thanks for letting me know.

Lastly im going to see batman begins in about an hour, again, hopefully the second time is as good as the first.

Still need to see war of the worlds though.

Woah, really?
Where on the island did you go? My grandparents are in Vineyard Haven.

Illmatic 06-25-2005 11:09 AM

I love how much different Cape Cod is from the rest of New England...I mean, it's only about two or three hours from Boston, but it's as if the two places are polar opposites.

Cain 06-25-2005 11:11 AM
Woah, really?

I was there when I was a child, but I don't remember the name of the exact location. I remember the aged white houses, the rocks, and the semi-cloudy, beach sky. And the white sand and the generally very peaceful atmosphere. It's one of those places where if you were ill you would go there to convalesce.
