Haha, fair enough, a friend invited me to start singing in his band again... which I quit because of school.

Ryan: Matt, sing for us again
Me: Doesn't Vince do that now?
Ryan: Yeah, Vince is getting pretty good at being a faggot
Me: Haha, what do you mean?
Ryan: He's like the guy from Trivium without a microphone... but when he does it into the microphone it's even worse
Me: I'll see if I can help you out...

What type of band is it?

i am the robots 01-26-2006 12:32 PM

Real metalcore... melodeath/hardcore combo, no breakdowns.

Oh and a few black metal songs, and no whiney clean singing choruses.

I dunno yet, my parents only let me out on fridays/saturdays because I'm failing pre-calc... so yeah, two days a week for practice and such is no good... but it would be fun.

Yeah, but your forgeting the time off. Snow days,Presidents Week, Spring Break/Easter. Plus as the weather gets warmer, they lighten up on the work. At least at my school.

Haha, so I was skim reading and I saw my name and was like "wtf?" Good times.

As to cold versus hot rooms...Heat is more conducive to sleeping, so how can you guys like to sleep in cold rooms? :-\

PinkFreud 01-26-2006 01:28 PM

i find the heat stifling. havent you ever searched for the cool side of the pillow?

I find that when its hot, I toss and turn more. It also takes me forever to fall asleep. When its cold, I go to bed within minutes of lying down and rarely wake up in the middle of the night.

Um no, if I accidentally find it I generally congregate back to the warm area too.

Hmmm, I take forever to sleep regardless *shrug*

But eh, heat is more comfortable usually. I'm not talking like cranking the thermo stat to 90 or anything...but ~70 is great. Very comfy.

Only time I've been too warm in bed is if someone else is in it also <_<

I also can't get to sleep very easily if I'm too warm. Moreover, the contrast just feels better.

Tyler 01-26-2006 01:37 PM

I like to wake up cold and then warm up. That to me seems fuuucked up but whatever.

I like it cold that way my covers don't overheat me.

Well too much of anything is obviously no good. But in general you prefer cold over heat as well?

As an aside...do you guys wear clothing while sleeping? Does that affect opinions any?
I like to wake up cold and then warm up. That to me seems fuuucked up but whatever.
No, that makes sense. Cold makes you more alert so if you want to be instantly kickin' cold is more conducive to that. If you wake up warm you're more akin to lounging in bed awhile.
I like it cold that way my covers don't overheat me.
I have a sheet that provides no protection at all heh. Most of the time I end up laying my sleeping bag over me as well.

Tyler 01-26-2006 01:44 PM

I cant have my feet covered when I sleep.

gmoneyguy 01-26-2006 01:44 PM

Me boxers and a wife beater.

Tyler 01-26-2006 01:47 PM

beating your wife > wife beaters

I generally don't either...but it's weird because that is the most likely place to get cold...so you'd think you would want them covered first.
Me boxers and a wife beater.
So how do you manage to overheat? :-\

Or a better question...how do you not sweat like a pig wearing actual clothes around all day?

Doctor Night 01-26-2006 01:48 PM
I cant have my feet covered when I sleep.
Why's that.

//
I have a friend who sleeps completely under the covers. When he gets out of bed, he's drenched in sweat.

I live in Mississippi. It the spring/summer months that will kill you. It gets extremely humid down here.

Bartender 01-26-2006 01:49 PM
Well too much of anything is obviously no good. But in general you prefer cold over heat as well?
Well it depends what you mean. I don't want frozen muscles and hypothermia. But in generaly I prefer a low ambient temperature, yeah; I can't concentrate on anything that's going on or that I'm trying to accomplish, not to mention I can't sit/lie comfortably. Besides which - I repeat this a lot - I find it far easier to warm myself if I'm too cold, than to cool off if I'm too warm.
As an aside...do you guys wear clothing while sleeping? Does that affect opinions any?
Hadn't really thought about it. If I'm at home and in bed and everything, then no, I don't wear any (significant) clothing. I've tried all different variations at different times though, so I suppose I must be going with what I prefer.

Heh, yeah...humidity isn't an issue here in AZ. Heat isn't either much as long as you have AC and spend time inside.

Haha, not that any of us do. Hmm, I suppose I've always preferred a generally warmer temperature in the winter, but cooler in the summer come to think of it. Maybe like 70 in the winter, 60-65 in the summer. (I think that's like 15-20 Celsius). But eh, I find if I'm cold, like shivering, I have a real hard time warming up. I rarely have issues overheating.

Yeah, I was just thinking if you slept in more clothes maybe you liked to sleep in a cooler temp *shrug*
