Hey all!

JamminOnMy4String 10-01-2004 03:17 PM

is it me or do the names of the casual threads just seem to get worse and worse...

Foxfire 10-01-2004 03:18 PM

DUDE what are you doing? Shhh or Wintermute'll hax you.

:amaze: 10-01-2004 03:18 PM

Well, you try to rhyme something with 12 or 11 ...

PaulSimonon 10-01-2004 03:19 PM
7-string was a month ago. Unfortunately I can't apply it to everything. I do have a bad case of G.A.S. but I need a WOOD-ish bass. :p The Curbow is wonderful, though, kicks most bass's ***. I just want a Conklin GT-4. :p After that I'm set basswise for life (unless, of course, upgrades count...)

Bottom one.

YUM. Matching 4-string. ;)
I'll buy your Curbow if you get a GT-4..... Please?

FUNKNBASS 10-01-2004 03:19 PM

Matching basses is cool and all but personally I think you could get a better 4.

Foxfire 10-01-2004 03:20 PM

Could I get a better 4? Yes.

But I love the feel and tone of the Conklin GT series. :p
is it me or do the names of the casual threads just seem to get worse and worse...
The ones that Wintermute do are pretty back, all the other before were pretty good.

I'll still buy the Curbow....

By the way, does Ebonal dry out like a normal fretboard?

JamminOnMy4String 10-01-2004 03:22 PM

i'm just saying what everyone else was afraid to say

Foxfire 10-01-2004 03:23 PM

You wouldn't want it (reason why I'm not even going to bother selling it).

The area between the neck and the pickup is scratched up, due to how I slap. :p

Espbassor 10-01-2004 03:24 PM
DUDE what are you doing? Shhh or Wintermute'll hax you.
heh it's sooo true :D

PaulSimonon 10-01-2004 03:24 PM

A discount! Pics? It can't be that bad....
I'll still buy the Curbow....

You mean get that dried out look? If so, no. It's half luthite, and takes on more of a luthite texture than an ebony texture.

I mean lacking moisture, feels and sounds like crap until you condition it.

Foxfire 10-01-2004 03:27 PM

I don't even know if I could sell it. I've already got an emotional attachment to it. :p

Oh and FUNKNBASS...I'd get it used anyways. They tend to sell for 400 USD, and yeah.

:p

Let's put it this way...

If you polish the fretboard, you can get it to a mirror-like sheen.

e p 10-01-2004 03:35 PM

What's happenin' Paul.

Yar.

All the time? or do you have to put a product on it every 6 months or so?

Just got back from a "pep rally".... more of a mob of highschoolers yelling obscenities at authority figures than a pep session.....

Foxfire 10-01-2004 03:41 PM

Dude...I haven't polished it once, and when I play, I can see the reflection of my fingers in the fretboard.

:amaze: 10-01-2004 03:42 PM

Alright, I'm almost done with my new one

Yeah, I guess. The bassline is really simple, but it all fits together well, imo.
