Hippie.

gaslight 05-31-2005 06:48 AM

Just a piece of info for the Aussie kids here who don't frequent the Aussie section of the site, Colditz Glider are playing at the Annandale in Sydney on Thursday the 2nd of June. Three other bands are also playing but I didn't take notice of their names.

8PM, $8.

Wanker 05-31-2005 09:38 AM

I sort've laughed at the beginning of this review.

I dunno. It made me chuckle.
hypocrite.

you used to love Tool.

why is it that when peoples tastes in music changes (i'm not trying to say here that they shouldn't. they always do, and it happens to everyone, i accept that), they always look down on their old tastes in music. most people i know are embarrassed of what they used to like.

surely if 2 years down the line you look back on what music you listen to now, and are embarrassed by the music, you shouldn't listen at all. what's the point, it'll be embarrassing in 2 years time right?

pffft
What? No. :\

I never liked tool, but I still listen to Nirvana and Eminem, even some Limp Bizkit at times.
But all things end, and as the bloated Be Here Now hit stores in 1997 at the height of their popularity, they settled in for the backlash, which, eight years later, is still in full force. Or close to it, anyway-- I've read several write-ups of their latest album, Don't Believe the Truth, that struggle to explain why it's a return to form from their last two miscarriages, Standing on the Shoulder of Giants and Heathen Chemistry. Unfortunately, these reviews are either based on wishful thinking or plain bad taste. If anything, Don't Believe the Truth is the chilling conclusion to their discography's trilogy of shame.
Wow.

Let's pretend the bolded part isn't the most pretentious piece of crap I've ever read in my life.

Iai 05-31-2005 11:36 AM

I swear, you just stalk these threads waiting for milestone posts.

EdiT: to Jelle the waffle

Bartender 05-31-2005 12:11 PM

12,000th reply is better than 12,000th post anyway, though. So the waffle failed, at least in my eyes.

Iai 05-31-2005 12:30 PM

I just put a Kate Bush album in R&M's 'Definitive Albums' thread.

Should be amusing.

pinkyeti 05-31-2005 01:20 PM

They're going to flame the **** out of you.

Or, at least they'll try.

Iai 05-31-2005 01:30 PM

Bartender already has. :(

Luxor 05-31-2005 04:14 PM

Sweboy for admin of internet!

Electrocution 05-31-2005 04:15 PM

Nonsense. Al Gore rules the internet with an iron fist.

Bartender 05-31-2005 05:02 PM

The internet, the evironment, the moon..is there anything that man can't rule?
Bartender already has. :(
Well, it wasn't you I was flaming. I just have issues with Kate Bush.

The NPC 05-31-2005 05:07 PM

So, how about that local fire department? Putting out fires. Yeah.

Happymeal 05-31-2005 05:12 PM

I put some strawberry jam on my pizza today. mmmmm.
I put some strawberry jam on my pizza today. mmmmm.
Did you wash it down with tea?

Zmev 05-31-2005 06:24 PM

the right side of my face is numb

Bartender 05-31-2005 06:25 PM

Why is that?

Electrocution 05-31-2005 06:25 PM

That happened to me when I tried nitrous oxide.

Little Man being Erased 05-31-2005 06:28 PM

I'm going on a snowboarding trip to New Zealand at the beginning of September. I can't wait.

And, I joined a gym today. Health and fitness for me!

Zmev 05-31-2005 06:33 PM
Why is that?
Dentist, 2 fillings.

Happymeal 05-31-2005 06:35 PM
Did you wash it down with tea?
Not really, no. We're all out of jasmine right now.

Bartender 05-31-2005 06:37 PM
Dentist, 2 fillings.
Ah. I was ambushed with fillings the time before last I visited the dentist. I thought it was just a check-up, and then before I knew it she'd stuck a needle in my mouth.

Zmev 05-31-2005 06:37 PM

Happymeal did you lose any weight yet?

edit: fillings blow and so does the dentist

Happymeal 05-31-2005 07:19 PM
Happymeal did you lose any weight yet?
I decided I don't really need to lose weight so now I'm building up my upper body and toning my lower. Anyways I'm on the bike 3 times a week so I can probably shave a few pounds before school ends.

YDload 05-31-2005 07:28 PM

I've never had to get fillings, or had a cavity. My teeth are :D except they're not really white enough. Just straight and in good condition.

Little Man being Erased 05-31-2005 08:08 PM

I'll probably buy a CD this afternoon. Which one should I get out of this list:

The Afghan Whigs - Gentlemen
Deltron 3030 - Deltron 3030
Pixies - Doolittle
Tom Waits - Rain Dogs

My membership is so cheap, it's actually amazing. $30 CDN a month for a "youth". But once I turn 18 (which is closing in) it's going to go up... way up. :(
