Haha yeah. About a 1/2 mile away is some river hang out. It's just a bunch of old dudes riding motorcycles getting drunk and stuff.

RetiredAt21 05-21-2005 10:44 AM

There is a river hang out about 2 blocks away. Alot of drunken guys hang out there and do burn outs in there pick-up trucks.

Fucking hell, mine still didn't come today.

On a side note, worst show ever last night.

RetiredAt21 05-21-2005 12:26 PM

What show?

ThePassionOfTheKasey 05-21-2005 12:31 PM

Some local bands called Hammerface, and Guilty Party, and some band from Portland that I didn't watch.

http://www.purevolume.com/guiltyparty

RetiredAt21 05-21-2005 12:33 PM

Hammerface? Hahaha, that's almost as bad as some of the stupid band names from around here.

Buried With A Murderer
My Epiphany
The Beautiful Odium
The Perfect Getaway
Bedford Exit
August Burns Red

Horrible.

Yes, Hammerface is nearly as horrible as 36 Crazy Fists.

Did you actually listen to the the band? I can't believe I am saying this, but they were actually live. Oh and the other band was called Subconscious. http://www.myspace.com/subconscious

If you're interested in helping out this forum, take a look. Basically everyone is from mx, we just need a wider variety of musical tastes. Were mostly a bunch of Classic Rock fans and Metalheads

I just watched Empire Strikes Back for the first time in years, so good.

shane italian 05-21-2005 07:52 PM

I just spent like 6 hours at the beach. So fun.

What did you do there?

shane italian 05-21-2005 07:57 PM
What did you do there?
Swam in the water most of the time. The waves were really good because of a hurricane down in Mexico.

NewKindofArmy03 05-21-2005 07:58 PM

My brother went to the beach today. I want to go, i'm going to wait until it gets hotter though.

Haha, I just boogie board the whole time, it's so fun.

Some videos. Has Bane at CBGB's when I went a few months ago. Can't find myself. It's 30 minutes long, roughly their whole set. Pretty good quality for a live video that's not a DVD.

NewKindofArmy03 05-21-2005 08:10 PM

I'm watching the MLIW video, they look really good live.

Cool Blacklisted video from here Tuesday. I posted it the other day but it wasn't a full video.

Let's Chop Cats! 05-21-2005 08:12 PM

I watched it at my friends house the other day. They rule so much.

Forest_Fire 05-21-2005 08:13 PM

Has anyone ever heard of a band called "De La Hoya"?

My grandma took me to some bluegrass festival today becuase we live in kentucky, and thats what we do. I wore my Marathon shirt and some chick saw it and started telling me bout how she's close friends with the singer. She said that he used to be in a band called De La Hoya and they were much better than Marathon.

I haven't found anything about them yet, so I figured i'd ask here.

Let's Chop Cats! 05-21-2005 08:15 PM

I have one of their albums. Pre-Marathon band, pretty good but I prefer Marathon.

Forest_Fire 05-21-2005 08:29 PM

I found a link from the site of a band called "Nakatomi PLaza" or something like that. They're good, but not marathon good.

Let's Chop Cats! 05-21-2005 08:30 PM

They're decent, I haven't listened a whole lot, but I'm not into them too much.

40 oz 2 freedom 05-21-2005 08:33 PM

I prefer De La Hoya to Marathon. Most would disagree probably.

Let's Chop Cats! 05-21-2005 08:35 PM

Most fans who listened to De La Hoya before Marathon came about tends to like DLH more. I listened to Marathon first, then found out about DLH.

40 oz 2 freedom 05-21-2005 08:57 PM

So it's Saturday night, and nothing is happening. AND my satellite is down.

RouteOne 05-21-2005 08:58 PM
So it's Saturday night, and nothing is happening. AND my satellite is down.
Thats why you get digital cable.

Let's Chop Cats! 05-21-2005 09:00 PM

Digital Cable > Satalite

Out of the hundreds of channels there is still nothing on a good amount of the time.

40 oz 2 freedom 05-21-2005 09:00 PM

Well it's working on all of my TVs except for the one upstairs, and I don't wanna go downstairs.

40 oz 2 freedom 05-21-2005 09:01 PM

I've never really liked digital cable, maybe because I'm used to satellite. And I don't have anything shitty like DirectTV or anything. I have Dish.

Let's Chop Cats! 05-21-2005 09:03 PM

Digi Cable and Satalite are the same thing except different channel numbers and how you get it (dish vs. cables). I prefer the one that doesn't go out when there is a storm.

RetiredAt21 05-21-2005 09:36 PM

Digital cable is pretty decent. My friend has a dish, it blows.

BridgeToSolace 05-21-2005 09:40 PM
I've never really liked digital cable, maybe because I'm used to satellite. And I don't have anything shitty like DirectTV or anything. I have Dish.
I would love Digital Cable/Satellite if it worked on more than two TVs at a time.

We have 8 TVs in our house, so we'd have to pay three or four times as much money as just standard cable to get it on every set.
