Electrocution 08-09-2005 12:08 PM
^^Good work!^

Leaving tommorow to Freeport, Maine-- home of the largest L.L. Bean store on earth. I'll be crunked on a 750ml of Bicardi for the next two days while I shop for a Spyderco knife and an L.L. Bean bike racing jersey.

Has anyone ever been to the store? I guess it has its own pond in the middle of the store to test out fly-fishing gear
I've been to the huge Cabela's store which is waaay more redneck.

Dog 08-09-2005 12:08 PM
In other news, I got my record player today!
Mine's better.

Zappa 08-09-2005 12:11 PM

I got my turntable for $2 at a garage sale, and it works quite well.

But doesn't it smell like cat pee?

Zappa 08-09-2005 12:14 PM

Nope.

The NPC 08-09-2005 12:15 PM
But doesn't it smell like cat pee?
No, I had some work done to it.

NPC Enterprises and Co.html specializes in cleaning up Cat Pee.
I've been to the huge Cabela's store which is waaay more redneck.
Is that store open 24 hrs. a day though?

We may just end up passing out in the tent deptartment.

Luxor 08-09-2005 12:16 PM

Oh, well that's good to know.

The NPC 08-09-2005 12:31 PM
Oh, well that's good to know.
Yeah I know, do you seek assistance in ridding your goods of Cat Pee?

Glitterati 08-09-2005 12:31 PM
Mine's better.
Probably :upset:

Dog 08-09-2005 12:42 PM

I was lying. Mine's as old as Christ. :upset:

The NPC 08-09-2005 12:52 PM
Are you saying you stole His record player?
Mail Order.

Dog 08-09-2005 12:53 PM

Yeah, well, it's not everday you get the oppurtunity to steal a record player that's been mentioned in the books of Matthew and Luke.

sweboy 08-09-2005 02:09 PM

Yeah, having connections with the local mafia organisation really helps when shopping for music equipment.

JonM 08-09-2005 02:14 PM

Yeah, the Guitar Center guys are too stoned to remember to pay their protection. It ends up biting em in the ass sometimes.

tritonesub18 08-09-2005 03:49 PM

woohoo new cable for me!!!!!

biografiend 08-09-2005 03:55 PM

Band camp began today. It was better than I expected, even though we had to march in 97 degree heat and my neck and back hurt.

leiferikson 08-09-2005 04:01 PM

Me and a couple of friends bought a vinyl record today and cut pieces out of it like a pizza and stuck them on top of another record. The end result was kinda interesting and sounded like something you'd hear in between songs on a post-rock band's side project. Is this a known practice? Apparently there is some dude on mtv in america who does something like it but I havent heard of anyone else doing it. I wouldnt be surprised if its relatively normal though.

To JonM, I showed my band all the info you gave me and we all agreed that its the way to go and that you now stand in line to recieve 2% of our career earnings.

masada 08-09-2005 04:11 PM

Rockin' the new account name.

Zappa 08-09-2005 04:23 PM

So lately I've contemplated starting to write reviews again. The thing is, I try to focus my creativity into making music of my own right now, so I'm not sure if it's a good idea. I'm not sure. I finall got kicked off the top 15 list (which shouldn't have taken nearly as long as it did, considering I haven't written a review since we switched from CD Reviews sub-forum to sputnik).

Hmmm.

masada 08-09-2005 04:52 PM

Do whatever you want.

write write write

I work for a shop that is the only one that can give Guitar Center a run for their money

And two for me.

Sounds good. I'll give you my agent's cell, and you can work it out.

It's 404-IDONTHAVEANAGENT.

Canadian-Guy 08-09-2005 06:12 PM

My upstairs computer is seriously on the fritz today, so I'm forced to use this account.

Happymeal 08-09-2005 06:31 PM

2nd day of driving school. Not too bad, though it is truly a pain to be sitting for 5 hours while spoiled rich kid behind me keeps on bragging pointlessly about his life in rich kid high school.

I think you should kill him. Then again, that's my answer for everything.

JonM 08-09-2005 07:29 PM

All the plans fell through. I guess I'm home for the night.

Edit: unless that was a joke... but that's a pretty lame joke

No I was being serious. 5 months of driving school would still suck.

Zappa 08-09-2005 09:27 PM

I think I'm going to go ahead and start working on my debut Sputnik review tonight. I have to pick an album, though...

masada 08-09-2005 09:37 PM

Zmev : It's totally pimpin'

Did ya'll know that it's an in-joke of the bands, about how they thought it was a combination of ZZ Top and Dinosaur Jr.? That's why it's "z" in Trilogy, too.

masada 08-09-2005 09:39 PM

Jr. for short

Your sister is a beauty when she's naked, like my kid.

I can't decide what to review. Someone look at my list and pick something for me.
