Howdy kids,
How goes the Thrash thread? you're all boring and stopped listening to Thrash? Yeah, I've had the same problem. I've been listening to a mesh of Early Corrosion of Conformity and Blood Duster. I recently met one of the Blood Duster guys down the pub... he was quite amusing. He said that their latest album will be called 'Odins Ride over Northland' Northland is a shopping centre near to me. Blood Duster - Givin' Stiff to the Stiff |
Corrosion of Conformity kicks sooooo much ***. Their music is so catchy. They are constantly getting stuck in my head.
Nice avatar btw |
Yeah, I like their older stuff cause it's decent crossover and I like their later stuff cause it's laid back and relaxed music. They sound like two different bands from Animosity to Deliverance. I've always had a soft spot for Southern Metal, so I guess that's why I like both eras.
Jon! you fat gay, what are you listening to these days if it's not Thrash? the Spice Girls? you great bender. I bet you're still beating up Lebo's aswell, you Cronulla racist  |
yeah I've just been round the northern beaches of sydney starting race riots etc
the usual. |

I took my username 3 years ago from that the album Animosity :) I still love COC. "Blind" is their pinnacle IMO, however I enjoy all of their albums. |
I've never got around to checking out CoC.
|
I was never a fan. Boring if you ask me.
I thought this thread died. |
Ok guys, feel free to help me out here, a buddy showed me this song called Splatterthrash by Ghoul and I really dug it, any suggestions how I should go about finding more Ghoul or what album I should consider picking up in the future?
|
Do you have AIM? I can send you that album. If not, I can probably find a link.
|
Get Splatterthrash. It's sooooooooooooooo good.
|
All Ghoul is soooooooooo good.
|
I haven't heard Splatterthrash yet. The other two are sweet albums though.
|
Ghoul really never did anything for me honestly.
|

I would say Splatterthrash is their second best album. Or second worst, if you want. |
I rate them like so
Maniaxe > Splatterthrash > We Came For The Dead!!! Speaking of Ghoul, they have left Razorback Records and are going to be re-releasing mastered versions of the first two albums. |
That's the same order I put them in.
|
Ghoul! :thumb:
|
Ghoul \m/
I have yet to hear the first album but would rank the other two in the same order. I also have an awesome Ghoul shirt that I love. |

Why did they leave Razorback?
|

Normally I'm not that much of a thrash fan, but at the moment I'm in a huge thrash phase. Some of my favorites include Megadeth, Kreator, Municipal Waste, Anacrusis, Annihilator, Nuclear Assault, Sodom, Exhorder, etc.
|
Testament
Kreator Metallica (kill em all, RTL) Megadeth Death angel Suicidal tendencies are the thrash bands im pretty much into. Havent listened to quite a few of them in a while though. |
Municipal Waste
ah yes I knew I was forgetting something from my list |
I absolutely love trash. The old thread RIP :(
|
Just bump the old thread. I won't mind.
|
i pretty much like all thrash bands. The ones I listed are the ones I listen to the most. I think the only thrash bands I have a hard time listening to sometimes are Nuclear Assault and Annihilator.
|
Only good bands named are Slayer and Municipal Waste.
|
Just out of curiosity, have you heard all the others?
|
Most of them.
Oh yeah and Suicidal Tendencies but I don't think they're plain thrash. |

I hate Sepultura, though. |
I hate Sepultura, though.
Yea some of their stuff is really bad. |
Has anyone heard of Violator? Great crossover from Brazil. Reminds me of Municipal Waste.
|
Heard of them, and fairly certain I've heard a track of theirs a while back. Pretty good stuff, they did remind of me Municipal Waste, yeah.
|
Chemical Assault was surprisingly enjoyable.
|
Metallica Kreator Testament Slayer Iced Earth
I'm a relative Thrash n00b but they're the ones I like most/have heard. I've heard a little bit of Anthrax and also Megadeth but I wasn't a huge fan. Iced Earth would clearly be my favourite out of the ones mentioned above |
I've always thought of Iced Earth as more of a PM band than a thrash band.
