Hey :) Yea, I sort of come and go. More going at the moment though.

I Was A Kaleidoscope 06-02-2006 07:44 PM

Xiu Xiu - The Air Force

This is gooood.
Quite melodic.

pixiesfanyo 06-02-2006 07:49 PM

Still digging the Red House Painters, as well as..

Manic Street Preachers - The Holy Bible
Neurosis - Time of Grace

br3ad_man 06-03-2006 02:22 AM

Mogwai - Happy Songs For Happy People
Jimmy Eat World - Clarity
New Order - Substance

Some GY!BE and ASMZ bootlegs too

I Was A Kaleidoscope 06-03-2006 02:47 AM

Tom Waits - Rain Dogs

Tooth Ache 06-03-2006 02:57 AM

Stadium Arcadium - Chillies
Yeah Yeah Yeahs new album (forgets the name me do)

Bartender 06-03-2006 06:28 AM

Just listening to the new Canvas Solaris album for the first time. I'm only about halfway through so far, but if it keeps this up then they're one of the most consistent technical metal bands I know. Even if their sound is changing, little by little.

Interstate 06-03-2006 08:13 AM

Pig Destroyer - Prowler In The Yard

Also:

Deerhoof (need more songs from them to form an opinion)
Scary Kids Scaring Kids
The Reindeer Section

I need to buy tickets to see ASMZ when they come through here.

It's only 12 bucks :)

Bartender 06-03-2006 08:47 AM

Just listening to The Chirping Crickets now. Whoever's responsible for the ever-present backing vocals on every second of every track needs to be shot.

3rdplanet 06-03-2006 11:37 AM

Listening to 13 & God, tis pretty good.

Matt? 06-03-2006 01:56 PM

at first few listens i honestly thought that the airforce was a major major dissapointment. but then the more i listen to it, the more i like it

buzz saw is an ace song, as well is bishop ca and vulture piano.

i wouldn't rate it as high as their a promise or fab muscles, but i like it more than la foret

unfortunately i think with new xiu xiu stuff is it doesn't sound as dark, percussion wise, as their first three albums, which was something i really liked about them

Matt? 06-03-2006 02:37 PM

senorbatt

Matt? 06-03-2006 02:47 PM

Daniel! 06-03-2006 02:49 PM

New Bomb Turks
The Devil Dogs

The New Bomb Turks in particular are great.

Matt? 06-03-2006 02:52 PM

senorbatt

hit me up and i'll send it

YDload 06-03-2006 02:57 PM

Oh hey I have soulseek now. Same as my username but no caps (ydload).

Recently I am digging the song "Venus" by Television. I can see why Nacho listed it as his favorite song off Marquee Moon. It's just so damn , especially the call-and-response part

-Did you feel low?
-Nah.
-HUH?!
-I fell right into the arms of Venus De Milo

sweboy 06-03-2006 04:05 PM

Now diggin' the new single from Promoe, "Songs Of Joy", featuring jamaican player Capleton.

Interstate 06-03-2006 04:17 PM

Deerhoof - The Runners Four - This is, erm...weird.
The Fiery Furnaces - Blueberry Boat

Matt? 06-03-2006 04:19 PM
Deerhoof - The Runners Four - This is, erm...weird.

i didn't like it very much tbh

i kind of found it boring for a deerhoof album
i didn't like it very much tbh

It's my first experience of Deerhoof (album wise) and I wasn't expecting the high vocals in almost every song. I think it's an album that needs to be listened to on headphones.

Matt? 06-03-2006 04:23 PM

if you like it, get reveille

i like that album a lot more

Interstate 06-03-2006 04:32 PM
if you like it, get reveille

i like that album a lot more
I think it'll grow on me, I'll give it a listen on my Ipod when I put it on there.

Matt? 06-03-2006 04:32 PM

beck-broken drum

this is the only song i like off of guero, but i like it A LOT

buzz saw off of the air force is on repeat lately

Zebra 06-03-2006 05:25 PM

Air - Talkie Walkie

This band/album is so addicting.

Glitterati 06-03-2006 05:35 PM

Belle & Sebastian - If You're Feeling Sinister

One of the best albums of the '90s. Belle & Sebastian make me cream my pants.
Manic Street Preachers - The Holy Bible
djwertg4uih32u45gh5t

Bukowski 06-03-2006 05:38 PM

The Pop Group - We Are All Prostitutes
Drive Like Jehu - Yank Crime
Indian Summer - Discography + some videos on youtube

Baudelaire 06-03-2006 05:40 PM

I've had it for a long time, it's taken awhile to grow on me so maybe my opinion is wrong on it, but I don't think it's anywhere near the credit it gets from people on here. It's probably a 3/5. Solid album, but only when I'm in a very odd mood.

I Was A Kaleidoscope 06-03-2006 07:47 PM

Thom Yorke - The Eraser
if you like it, get reveille

i like that album a lot more
I completely agree.
That's my favourite Deerhoof album, and I found The Runners Four pretty boring.

Well_Respected_Man 06-03-2006 09:16 PM
