AIRIC 03-15-2006 02:09 PM

I'm not really sure if they will or not, but God I hope so.

TakeWarning 03-16-2006 03:54 AM

I hope not, I still enjoy them very much.

Weezerfan_returns 03-16-2006 09:39 AM

their last album was badass. I hope they don't breakup, or at least i hope they don't start sucking.

sketchyjoe 03-16-2006 09:41 AM

The last album was average. It was a decent pop-punk album but their EPs and RAR show that they're capable of so much more. They've lost their former clarity and I'll doubt they'll get it back.

I agree completely, but y'know evet at their worst they're still better than most:p . Although SFAFC was (by far) their weakest album yet, I stilled enjoyed it. And I think they can still put out some 'good' records, just not great ones anymore.

DaveToopes 03-16-2006 12:27 PM

I wish they would break up.

AIRIC 03-16-2006 02:14 PM

Me too. They're pretty much dead to me and I'm positive I won't like their new stuff.

Sod the neighbours 03-16-2006 02:14 PM

/rancid dan btw

Last month ive enjoyed SFAFC soooo much, it's really really good and anyway, im sooooo excited for Saturday ngihts show in leeds, it should be immense, anyone else happen to be goign ?

Catch ya in a while.

AIRIC 03-16-2006 02:18 PM

Where have you been?

Sod the neighbours 03-16-2006 02:22 PM

Doing work, goign out and having fun etc.

It's been cool.

I've mainly been preparing for my Art exam in a few days, i wanna do really well. Then i'll be doign revision for my final exams and other ltos of stuff.

I've been busy.

Flagjacket 03-16-2006 03:03 PM

Would you guys change your minds if their Sire album is good?

sketchyjoe 03-16-2006 03:07 PM

I'm not expecting it to be bad, but I'm not expecting it to be great either. The thing is, one of the main reasons that Reinventing Axl Rose and their earlier stuff was so great was due to the lyrics, the sort of lyrics they can't put on a major label album without being incredibly hypocritical.

Maybe they should search for it! Heh pun....

Unban Me Says Cameo 03-16-2006 09:50 PM

Didn't someone a while ago say they had a better version of Vivada Vis? Man, I wish I had a cleaner cut.

AIRIC 03-16-2006 09:50 PM

I have it.

SantaDuJuan 03-16-2006 09:59 PM

Against Me!
More like Against Good.

------
I still want to see them live again.

DaveToopes 03-16-2006 10:08 PM

So you can get your pen15 touched again?

imnotapunk 03-17-2006 11:30 AM

Has anyone seen AM! in the UK and if so was they any good cos im going to see them on sunday and dont realy know what to expect

AIRIC 03-17-2006 11:40 AM

I'm sure they will be good.

TakeWarning 03-17-2006 08:27 PM

They're excellent live.

Alkaline Prime 03-18-2006 02:03 AM

They are still great live. They like to mix up their shows too.
Saw them 3 nights in a row last month and when I was talking to warren on the first night he said they were playing a different set every night. The man came through and I had the best weekend of my life.

Friday night was a good mix of mostly old stuff with new stuff. Saturday was a brilliant set list with tons of old stuff..and my favourite Walking is still honest. Sunday they had a "secret" show. it was really small and casual..and I was falling onto the stage hehe. It was a fun set too..most of the new stuff, but the other half was older stuff you wouldn't expect to hear. Tom played an awesome new song that he said he had new played in front of anyone but the band, and they closed with the disco after the breakdown.

I had plenty of time to talk with the guys in the crowd and backstage. Nicest guys. New album isn't as close to me as the old stuff but I found it really grew on me.

Sod the neighbours 03-19-2006 04:29 AM

OK, AM! WAS ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING.

Seriously, so much energy, passion and stuff from the crowd and the band, they also picked such an aweosme setlist.
I got on stage and shook toms hand too, which was cool and my mate got his plectrum. The only songs i wish they played was TSR and Jordans first choice. They were selling the Disco before the breakdown ep, but it sold out and the end of the show, so i got the live dvd instead.

Setlist: (not in proper order)

Walking is still honest
From her lips to gods ears
Reinventing Axl Rose
Unprotected Sex With Multiple Partners
Sink Florida Sink
Don't Lose Touch
Miami
Those Anarcho Punks and Mysterious
Turn those clapping hands into angry ballad fists
Rice and Bread
Problems
You look like i need a drink
Pints of guinness makes you strong
and a song i didn't recognise, maybe a new one

Encore:
Impact
We laugh at danger (and break all the rules)

Best song live was probably Those Anarcho Punks are mysterious.

sketchyjoe 03-19-2006 06:24 AM

That sounds like an awesome setlist. I hope they play something similar on Tuesday.

TakeWarning 03-19-2006 06:33 AM

Glad, you enjoyed yourself Daniel.

That sounds like the same kinda thing they played last time I saw them.

Sod the neighbours 03-19-2006 06:34 AM

Yeah, it raelly was great. 5 songs from RAR was great.

Henrik 03-19-2006 06:52 AM
Impact
AWESOME. I didn't knew they still play stuff from crime.

sketchyjoe 03-19-2006 07:55 AM
Yeah, it raelly was great. 5 songs from RAR was great.
And just about the five best songs on RAR in my opinion. As longs as they play Pints of Guiness... I've be happy.

Sod the neighbours 03-19-2006 08:50 AM

Yeah, Impact was one of my faves which they played, i was suprised to here it, i'd have preffered Jordans First Choice over We laugh at danger, from RAR is the only swap really.

imnotapunk 03-19-2006 09:40 AM

Im goin to see them tonight and from what every one has said they should be good. I hope they do play Those Anarcho Punks are mysterious because its one of my favorite songs

asdf 03-19-2006 09:51 AM

When I saw them the first song the played was Those Anarcho Punks. I was so happy, because that's possibly my favorite song, and definitely my favorite one to sing along to. I had gotten my 8 dollars worth just for that.

DaveToopes 03-19-2006 10:01 AM

I would love to hear Impact at an AM! show.

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 03-19-2006 10:04 AM
I would love to hear Impact at an AM! show.
Yeah, I was thinking that when I saw that they were playing near me. I was wondering if they'd play anything from any of the EPs. I guess I'm lucky. I'd rather hear "Yall Dont Want to Step to Dis" or "Tonight We're Gonna Give it 35%"

Alkaline Prime 03-19-2006 05:03 PM

They played impact down here at one Show too which was unbelievable. Definately something to be

Weezerfan_returns 03-19-2006 10:58 PM

it's kind of weird that they're on warped... but i'm glad. Much better lineup than last year, with The Bouncing Souls, AM!, nofx. I really wish AFI would come to wisconsin :(

asdf 03-20-2006 07:02 PM

My friend was very distraught as he told me that Against Me! is playing at Warped Tour.

obese_breasts 03-20-2006 07:18 PM

I almost shat myself when they played Impact when I saw them a few months back.

Weezerfan_returns 03-20-2006 10:34 PM

I didn't like Jordan's First Choice very much until I heard the Acoustic EP... that thing is incredible.

Anarcho Poser 03-20-2006 10:38 PM

They played it both times I saw them.

I'm really wondering about this Sire deal. They're nothing on sire's website still, or anything. Has it been confirmed as a cruel, cruel joke yet?
