honestly, i didn't choose any sides, I just felt like being a sarcastic dick, and posting a pointless post in regards to your pointless post.

posting a pointless post about pointless posts is POINTLESS

either way, I still love everyone, and everyone is special to their own degree

oh and might I add, AC/DC put on the loudest show I have ever been to. My ears felt like they were going to bleed.

Thank you angus Young. oh and when everything goes quiet, and you hear that thunderstruck riff come into play, it sends chills down your spine.
aaahhhhhhhh the irony  ..................................

Aeaon 06-06-2005 11:37 PM
Brian Johnson was good but you should here him nowadays like on the 'stiff upper lip' concert he just screams and screws up the song but Bon is the true singer......or was :upset:
His voice didn't really start to sound bad till Blow Up Your Video. But before that, he actually sounded pretty good.

If only Bon Scott didn't choke on his vomit though. :upset:

Bon_Scottie 06-07-2005 03:35 AM
Yeah, it would have been good if could have at least finished the album there were working on at the time before he died. The highway to hell album wasnt all that great a note to end on.
I think it was a great way to go out.

I mean, only Bon could have ended his life just after creating an album called 'Highway to Hell', and recording his last song entitled 'Shot down in flames'.

Highway to Hell is one of my favourites, it's become a must have.

rippa32 06-07-2005 05:53 AM

uhhh Shot Down in Flames is about rejection.

ArcLite 06-07-2005 05:56 AM

I'm quite disappointed. Why is this thread not doing a cover for the competition? I would start one, but I'm already working on one for the Bodom thread. Perhaps a bit hypocritical on my part, but I expected this thread to be in the fight.

maddog87 06-07-2005 10:37 AM

ill do one. what do yall think, highway or all night long???

rockerofnevada 06-07-2005 10:58 AM

AC/DC are one of those bands who will be remembered for a long time like the bands of old brian who? my couson could sing better than him with a sore throat. bon scott the reason why i'm a vocalist

stevo_13 06-07-2005 12:14 PM

I used to listen to them sometimes but they have turned in to one of those bands that stupid 14 year olds say they listen tojust to be "cool". All these kids have like a million AC/DC shirts but they haven't heard any songs besides thunderstruck and tnt. They're just jumping on the f**king band wagon so they can seem cool. I feel sorry for these bands but its not like they aren't encouraging it by selling their t-shirts at every store in every mall all across north america.

Ballsack_AC/DC69 06-07-2005 12:16 PM
Brian Johnson can sing very well. Thats why he hasnt been kicked out. And if you opened your mind you would realise that some people actually prefer him.
I was just stating my personal opinion. Oh, and Brian Johnson can't sing, his voice changes constantly. Listen to Back In Black, then The Razors Edge, then Stiff Upper Lip. His voice changes constantly.

Besides that, I still listen to newer AC/DC (Back In Black - Today) but I have those voice eliminator system so I don't have to listen to Brian's ****i voice.

When I was 14 I listened to AC/DC, so was I just listening to them to be cool or what.

Wanna get one started?

Big Balls would be a fun cover to do.

ArcLite 06-08-2005 02:04 AM

Well, being as Metal Head said it was ok to be part of more than one thread's cover, I think I may (I'm already doing Bodom). Big Balls woul be funny, but the group vocals at the end may be hard to do. I play guitar and can take lead or rhythem.

Brew 06-08-2005 02:06 AM

I play bass, I've got the easy job

ArcLite 06-08-2005 02:08 AM

AC/DC's drums are easy enough that if we can't get a drummer, programming them wouldn't be too daunting of a task. Vocals may be hard to find.

Brew 06-08-2005 02:14 AM

Well, a Size 7 post worked in the Sabbath thread so...

Hey guys, wanna do a cover or two for this covers project? It'd be fun!

:)

rippa32 06-08-2005 05:26 AM

I am so sick of this Brian bashing. He is NOT crap.

Brew 06-08-2005 05:27 AM

I prefer Bon's voice, its more entertaining.
Brain's is good, but it gets boring after awhile.

rippa32 06-08-2005 05:37 AM

Of course I reckon Bon is better but Brian deserves much more credit than he gets.

Bon_Scottie 06-08-2005 04:19 PM
uhhh Shot Down in Flames is about rejection.
So? Its just ironic that its called Shot down in Flames.

As for Brians voice, I think when they lost Bon they lost more than just a singer.

He was the rock and roll passion behind the band. I mean, his lyrics and style for the music was just unbelievably good. He's what made AC/DC that great passionate, entertaining rock and roll band.

When Brian joined, they lost that. Brian just writes lyrics. Some are really good inuendo tracks, and some have nice meanings, but Bon gave the band that edge.

So true. Brian Johnson isn't fit to even speak Bon's name, let alone sing his songs.

Rush--WorkingMan 06-08-2005 06:36 PM

Wat are anyones favourite AC/DC songs

Grinners 06-08-2005 07:53 PM
Wat are anyones favourite AC/DC songs
i like all the classics like thunderstruck but i prefer most of Bon Scotts music. My favourite songs are high voltage, jailbreak and Long Way To The Top
So true. Brian Johnson isn't fit to even speak Bon's name, let alone sing his songs.
Oh come on, he doesnt do a bad job of Whole Lotta Rosie. And he loves what he does so stop bashing him.

Brewer14 06-08-2005 11:30 PM

For the whole competition thing, uhh depending on the song I could do guitar. Consider me like a backup or something :p

Brew 06-09-2005 02:43 AM

So who's going to be in the cover comp. here?

ArcLite 06-09-2005 03:49 AM

I'm in, with my axe slinging skilz. I can do drums if needed too (programmed).

Brew 06-09-2005 04:02 AM

Groove, I can do bass if you want.

rippa32 06-09-2005 04:03 AM

What do you guys use to record stuff to ur comp? (im a beginner)

ArcLite 06-09-2005 04:31 AM

My setup:
Guitar > PODxt > USB Port > Audacity (for recording) > Mixcraft (for mixing)

Brum, as soon as we pick a song I can get cracking on it. This, assuming that I do drums too and no one else wants to...Give me a list of about three songs you'd like to do. Then I'll pick one based on what I can play (solos matter here).

rippa32 06-09-2005 04:50 AM

Okay thanks for the info but whats a PODxt. Okay now I sound like a n00b

ArcLite 06-09-2005 05:09 AM

A guitar effects processor, amp modeller, and USB direct recording device.

rippa32 06-09-2005 05:33 AM

Thanks. How long have you been playing guitar?

Brew 06-09-2005 05:34 AM

Hmm....Big Balls, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap and...Highway to Hell?

As soon as we've made the choice I can get the bass parts recorded.

rippa32 06-09-2005 05:41 AM

I dont mean to intrude seeing as it is your project you have going, but I advise against Big Balls, as it has no solo and maybe a song with a solo would be a good choice. But thats just me.

Brew 06-09-2005 05:42 AM

True...but it'd be good for entertainment value, something which some of the other threads may lack...

I might make another size 7 post over in Sabbath land soon.

rippa32 06-09-2005 05:48 AM

lol might be an idea. Id do a song for you as Im a guitarist but I have no way of recording.

ArcLite 06-09-2005 05:55 AM

Rippa, I've been playing 6 years, to answer your question. Brum, I think we'll go with Deeds or Highway because of the reason Rippa mentioned as well as the group vocals at the end, which I'm guessing would be hard. If you're fine with either one of the two I'll take a look at them and let you know as soon I pick one. Sound good?

You got MSN or AIM? EDIT: NM, just stopped being a n00b and read profile :p

Brew 06-09-2005 06:40 AM

/me votes Deeds.

AB/CD 06-09-2005 07:12 AM

i know you all already have three songs listed there but why not do sin city?
