Skitsystem touring the UK in febuary! Matyrdod, Bruce Banner and Victims should be coming over here early next year too, should be awesome.
I listened to Skitsystem last night and their split with Nasum. Both were f'ucking awesome.
What are about five essential crust bands everyone should listen to?

Keep in mind I mean punkier* crust, not grind.

*this is the gayest word I've ever come up with
Just a quick list:

Cluster Bomb Unit
Disrupt
Battle of Disarm
Anti Cimex
Avskum
Amebix
Born/Dead

There a bunch of great ones I'm missing.

Gnarmageddon 12-15-2005 08:09 PM

Disrupt owns your face.

BORN/DEAD is soooooooo good live. And since they're (nearby) local, I get to see them and play with them more than the average man.

Essential crust bands...

1. Antischism
2. BORN/DEAD
3. Nausea
4. Aus Rotten
5. Toxic Narcotic

and I added a...

6. Misery
Disrupt owns your face.
I'm having a hard time getting into them.

Gnarmageddon 12-16-2005 04:17 PM

I'm not sure why I like them so much.

Subvert_bassist 12-16-2005 06:58 PM

I really like the song "Domestic Prison". After that, for me, it's just eh.

NewKindofArmy03 12-16-2005 09:39 PM

My friend got me into them a couple of weeks ago, they're really good.

http://www.resistantculture.com/latevideo.html I don't know if this is new or not, but I haven't seen it before. Such a good song.

There was one song by them I really liked, so I got the discog and listened and didn't like it all. It sounded like really poorly done death metal.

Scabies 12-17-2005 12:20 PM

The dicog isn't amazingly good, get the 'unrest' album, its probably my favourite ever crust (no poor death metal..) album ever.

Scabies 12-17-2005 12:22 PM

oh, and another thing......

Discharge tour next year!

Latter just posted a bulletin on MySpace with a bunch of bands from Long Island and a Grind/death metal band came up, listening to them now and they are pretty good.
Dude, I know. And when we go on tour next summer, we're playing with Career Soldiers in San Diego, and BORN/DEAD and Voetsek in Berkeley.
Do have a place where I can check out your band. Maybe a myspace?

Subvert_bassist 12-24-2005 12:28 AM

Yep: http://www.myspace.com/subvertcitizens

The three tracks up are three pulled from our upcoming full length. We chose those three because they show our diversity: One is a thrash song, the other is a crustcore song, and the other is an acoustic punk/folk song.

Lazybassplr56 12-24-2005 12:44 AM

Cool, I like it. I even put it on my Ipod. If you guys ever play a show closer to L.A. I'm there.

Scabies 12-24-2005 06:44 AM

you guys are really good, i just added ya.
Cool, I like it. I even put it on my Ipod. If you guys ever play a show closer to L.A. I'm there.
We'll be down there next summer; we're doing a kinda-tour of California. If you know any good crust/thrash bands in the scene down there we could play with, that'd be cool.

And thanks for the support guys. I'll post here whenever our full length is done, and I'll send you guys both a copy.

AIRIC 12-24-2005 12:51 PM

I'll actually pay for a copy when it comes out.

Subvert_bassist 12-24-2005 10:50 PM

Siiiiick dude, glad y'all like us.

RetiredAt21 12-25-2005 01:26 AM
