Dark beers/ales make me sick these days. So so dark sodas. I don't know why. The only dark kind of beverage I can still stomach is Jagermiester.

BoboTheRagingHobo 07-06-2007 12:28 PM

All that light Americanized beer makes me gag when ever I taste it. It tastes like a one ounce shot of beer mixed into 11 ounces of club soda.

I'll stick to microbrews thank you very much.

Invicta_Veritas 07-06-2007 12:29 PM

Haha, fair enough.

The most un-American beer I can tolerate is Hieneken and Corona.

VomitStainedCretin 07-06-2007 01:12 PM

Budweiser is like having sex in a canoe...

Invicta_Veritas 07-06-2007 02:08 PM

Mgd Ftw.

Deth 07-06-2007 02:31 PM

I'm with Bobo on this one. If I can see clearly through it, I'm not interested.

FatalEnergy 07-06-2007 02:34 PM

American beer is complete ****. Not to mention drinking it is practically asking to be hungover.

VomitStainedCretin 07-06-2007 02:58 PM
Budweiser is like having sex in a canoe...
This wasn't meant as a compliment to American beer, I was posting the first part of a sh1tty joke. Apologies.

The reason why Budweiser is like having sex in a canoe is because it's fvcking close to water.

RiceMonster 07-06-2007 03:08 PM

Ugh, American beer. Drink good beer please.

Dargon II 07-06-2007 03:20 PM

east euro pilsener please

Angmar 07-06-2007 04:25 PM

Luckily, this all has to do with death metal :)

FatalEnergy 07-06-2007 04:26 PM

Alcohol is a crucial part of DM.

Angmar 07-06-2007 04:27 PM

Well... that may be, but you could ad least try and draw the connection, not just talk about beer in general.

Heineken literally smells like cat piss, I shit you not and it tastes as bad as it smells. Corona is meh, I'll drink it if I am offered it for free, but I certainly won't buy it.

Dechutes Brewery Black Butte Porter is my beer of choice, and I can get it every where on tap since its a local brewery.

And beer and death metal go hand in hand because nothing is like listening to a good death metal album with a nice cold beer in hand.

Couldn't agree more. Corona is way too tasteless for me anyways. The keg cans are cool though.

VomitStainedCretin 07-06-2007 04:49 PM

The worst 'beer' I've ever drunk was Kalibur - non-alcoholic and had an after taste resembling stale sick.

Being drunk makes Finntroll sound a lot better. I don't know if this is a good or bad thing though.

TojesDolan 07-06-2007 05:01 PM

Yeah, death metal.

Angmar 07-06-2007 05:03 PM

I need some more old-school DM, any good suggestions?

TojesDolan 07-06-2007 05:07 PM

Disgorge.

Dismember.

Early Death.

woah bands with D awesome 4_3

Angmar 07-06-2007 05:08 PM

I got all Death, I'll check the others out, I also hear Autopsy is good.

TojesDolan 07-06-2007 05:14 PM

Yeah they are very nice.

EDIT: Disgorge is actually grindier.

Oh, and lagers suck, even though I'm drinking one right now (since lagers tend to come in awesome prices for mass quantity).

As for real beers:

http://www.sheltonbrothers.com/images/beers/Arran_Blonde.jpg

True Scottish ale brewed in the grim island that is home to the venemous-snake infested mountain called Goat Fell.

My favourite beer, too.

My grandparents keep telling me about a couple ales from home (Scotland) that are good but the names forever escape my mind.

If it's ale and it's Scottish, it's worth a try.

A lot of English ales are great too, of course.

Angmar 07-06-2007 05:33 PM

God Damnit stop talking about beer in the Death Metal thread.

My grandparents always try to give me hell about how un-Scotch I am....I still retain the accent but everything else about me, including beer, is American.

"We raised you better than that".

Yea, but ya raised me in America.

Death metal is 20% music and 200% beer.
Death metal is 20% music and 200% beer.
QFT.

Although, methinks "death metal" and "music" are interchangeable in that sentence.

A couple of years ago I was given a "4 beers from different parts of the world" sort of thing as a birthday gift; it included USA; Rolling Rock.

Do you Americans seriously taste anything other than water when you drink that atrocity of a "beer"?

Angmar 07-06-2007 05:44 PM

Take it to the community thread... seriously.
