well ok then

and sweet, im glad you dont like it and im glad it makes you take time out of your day to tell me that you dont like it, it serves its purpose then

Dimmu Burger 02-02-2008 04:24 PM

I wonder who they would want to tour with? I mean who really fits that well with them?

Kage 02-02-2008 04:24 PM

Pretty much any metalcore band.

Tyler 02-02-2008 04:26 PM

Plenty of bands. They'd fit on most metal bills as long as it's not a typical death metal band or a black metal band. Anyone but TDWP and Silvestein.

Into Eternity. Between the Buried and Me (won't happen, but it'd fit). Dillinger Escape Plan. Architects (which might happen).

Any "forward" thinking metal band, honestly
Pretty much any metalcore band.
A lot of them, even though Protest the Hero isn't a metalcore band at all.

Dimmu Burger 02-02-2008 04:29 PM

I can understand the forward thinking bands but not any old metalcore band. They are too different vocally IMO.

Tyler 02-02-2008 04:31 PM

They don't have to "fit the bill" musically all the time. Protest has played gigs with plenty of different sounding bands here.

But playing with shitty pop punk bands and tDWP is ridiculous and does not work at all. But that's what you get for signing to Vagrant.

I dunno if Vagrant has that much to do with who they tour with. Goo Goo Dolls were on Metal Blade and Nickelback is/was on Roadrunner.

awia 02-02-2008 04:42 PM

They toured with Limp Bizket...With that said I wont be surprised if they opened for projeck revolution....

No, it really does.

They were 15. That was almost seven years ago. Different management. Horrible idea.

Limp Bizkit? No way.

beans 02-02-2008 04:56 PM

way

Tyler 02-02-2008 04:58 PM

Limp Bizkit and Korn. They got booed. They had to charge $40 for T-Shirts to match everyone elses prices. Seven years ago.

Man that sucks.

that does suck, i hate festival prices, they're just stupid

It wasn't a festival.
that does suck, i hate festival prices, they're just stupid
That's why I never bought t-shirts at Ozzfest because they were 40 bucks. Sounds Of The Underground and Warped are far superior because they let the bands run their own individual merch booths.

Sponer 02-02-2008 05:02 PM

PTH + DEP would be a sweet show. Even though DEP's new album sucks.

Dimmu Burger 02-02-2008 05:03 PM
PTH + DEP would be a sweet show. Even though DEP's new album sucks.
Yes that would be a good show, but Ire Works is still a good album, maybe not by DEP standards but its still better than most of whats out there.

Sponer 02-02-2008 05:04 PM

Yea I was just comparing it to their old stuff. But when I saw them a month or two ago, they only played two new songs so it was pretty sweet.

beans 02-02-2008 05:05 PM
It wasn't a festival.
i know, but when you get alot of 'big' bands like that together, it might as well be. they're basically the same prices as ozzfest and stuff

and sounds was really cool because of that, they all had thier own prices, very smart idea if ozzfest can catch on...

Dimmu Burger 02-02-2008 05:05 PM

That's cool. Its too bad there aren't many original members left, if any. I think maybe the bassist and one guitarist? Enlighten me please!

jrowa001 02-02-2008 05:06 PM

just got back from FYE with Fortress in hand. im giving it a listen right now for the first time. damn its good. im predicting a 4.5 or a 5. absolutely love this band

Dimmu Burger 02-02-2008 05:09 PM

I really like them as well. Its almost exactly what I would want in a band that I would play in. I wish the melodic vocals were catchier though.

Tyler 02-02-2008 05:10 PM

I'd say it's pretty ****ing catchy dude...

Dimmu Burger 02-02-2008 05:12 PM
I'd say it's pretty ****ing catchy dude...
I'll have to listen to Fortress more but Kezia I felt was a lot of the same spazzy but very powerful belted out melodic vocals.

Sponer 02-02-2008 05:16 PM
That's cool. Its too bad there aren't many original members left, if any. I think maybe the bassist and one guitarist? Enlighten me please!
I think the one guitarist is the only original member actually. The bassist came like two years after they started.

Back to PTH, after about 10 listens I can quite safely say I like Fortress much better than Kezia.

Dimmu Burger 02-02-2008 05:31 PM

Listening to Fortress now. I can say I like the first track better than any of Kezia, and yes I do like Kezia.

And as far as this song goes the vocals are very catchy, my bad.
