Davey had vocal nodes and had surgery and wasn't allowed to talk or sing for quite a while. Once he could finally do that stuff again, they started writing. Then they played at MTV Icon: The Cure (they covered Just Like Heaven) last August (it aired in October in Europe only). Then they went back to writing. Then on May 23 of this year they went into the studio to record the new album. They would have finished recording a month ago, but they decided to add a new song so they're still in the studio. Jade figures they'll have a new single out within a month or two.

I'm sitting here right now listening to ATASF and I have no clue why more people don't talk about it, nothing but fast hardcore-ish punk.

It's my favorite by them. Suits my taste the best out of all of their albums I think.

I don't enjoy that as much as Very Proud of Ya.

I haven't heard that one, I might download it sometime.

It is amazing. Every song is worth listening.

Black Sails in the Sunset is great album and All Hallows EP is awesome. Don't care for them besides those two albums, though.

I'm not really into AFI, but the songs i've heard are cool. The older stuff and newer stuff are really different.

On the Fat Wreck comp, Short Music for Short People, there's an AFI song called "Hearts Frozen Soil Sod Once More by the Spring of Rape, Despaire, and H" (i'm guessing the title is even longer than windows media player tells me). I really really like this song, is it from one of their albums? If not, which album sounds most like this?
