hey ive been thinking about getting into metaphysics, not just because tool is into it, but because its very interesting and could go somewhere. I am good when it comes to the sciences(biology,chemistry,and physics) but i am sh*t at math. Is math one of the main things that metaphysics revolves around.

^....lol... you dont want to get into metaphysics if you dont like sheer math bro. however, there are other parts that are worth it.

I have researched Metaphysics for years. Hence one of the reasons I became such a huge Tool fan, they study Metaphysics as well. Alot of thier songs tie together. I'll give you a brief overview of some Metaphysical ideas and you can tie the songs together and probably get a better idea of what they are trying to convey through thier music.

Ok, to start all this off you have think about different dimensions and human evolution. We currently live in the 3rd dimenstion. While we live in this dimension our body has 44&2 chromosoms. Now, some believe that there are ways to move from our present dimension into the 4th. To do this one must study sacred geometry and understand how the basic universe was created. All things living are carbon based.

Sacred Geometry is a way to geometrically explain all things created and living. The flower of life is the basis for everything, as is carbon. The human body is surrounded by 3 star tetrahedrans. 2 of these are actively moving, the 3rd is stationary. To move from the 3rd to the 4th dimension several things need to happen theoretically. Firstly your body my evolve into having 46&2 chromosomes (Hence what the 46&2 Tool song is about). The theory is that to begin the transformation the Pineal Gland must be stimulated. The Pineal Gland is also called the "Third Eye" (Tool Song). Once this Pineal Gland is stimulated it theoretically creates a hormone which will cause the transformation of the human body. How a person activates the Pineal Gland is done through self meditation called Mantra (Tool Song). Ok, now. Lets imagine that we have stimulated our Pineal Gland and have evolved our bodies into having 46&2 Chromosomes. Now, through meditation we will begin to move the 3rd Star Tetrahedran. When this Tetrahedran moves along with the other 2 a "Merkaba" (Tool Song) is created. This Merkaba is basically a vehicle to move from one dimesnion to the next.

There are theories that people can move between the different dimensions. One of these people is Drunvalo Melchizedek. There is so much to research about him that I won't even go into him and will leave this for you to do. Be wary of bull**** web sites who claim to be this person as they are pretty much full of ****.

This is a very basic run down of some of the Metaphysical studies Tool is involved with. The great thing about Tool is how the music actually is the process for them to relate to these topics and the lyrics kind of guide a person along. I'd like to make a few clarifications. the pineal gland is always stimulated. just not enough

mantra is a vocal vibration,often repeated. doing this alone will not necessarily activate a merkaba, or anything else. though it can have profound effects in regards to many things, since self produced vocal vibrations also vibrate 100% of the body(to various degrees, yes)

There is no prerequisite when it comes to activating your merkaba. i.e. chromosome count or pineal work.(though the latter will start to become automatic)

Its not a theory. I can move between dimensions..though it is way way way way way way way harder to do with the merkaba because its based on bascially perfect ego/non ego balance. perfect in the human sense because perfect is a human word. in this case attainable when , among other things, all fears are understood and abolished, and unconditional love is ascertained, along with other things like the readiness(no, not eagerness) to die. (which means you have no fear of death, thus, no restrictions on shifting dimensions) And the merkaba principals are also the ones used in the government's "Philadelphia Experiment" (though Im sure many of us know).

Many websites are shlt. However i was trained by one from the drunvalo lineage....who is pretty much accepted to be True. i had the courtesy of meeting him last year...and he has an aura that looks like a snow angel. very visiible. He is like a modern day Ghandi. His site is Drunvalo.net though he hasnt taught merkaba in quite some time.

I do the Merkaba every day. And i can also astral project. i have had two kundalini releases, untrained. which is un heard of in the western world. Usually one has to do specific kundalini training, otherwise you have to "think it up" . It is the snake from the bible. And it is like nothing else you will experience in the physical body.(yes im pulling my own chain) so much so that it can be potentially dangerous, and many say fatal. I am now Vegetarian when i used to love meat. its not a taste or judgement call...it was almost a vibrational shift. an energetic shift in what the body is and what you long to rebuild it with. you want to get closer and closer to your true source. which is "light". plant matter doesnt even need to be digested really. it just basically falls apart in your body like legos, where as meat rots. it is a million times less dense than meat, and is the first step down from light energy itself.

it is from the 12 step rehab programs ....when someone is coming to the meetings but not really wanting to..kinda like faking it, and or not really wanting to get better, or going because you are sentenced to go but not ready to be rehabilitated, ..it is considered "13 stepping". But in this case its about rehab in general.

Yea, I realize the gland is always stimulated, it is not active would have been a better description.

I had always read that the only way to cycle the 3rd star tetrahedran was by activating the Pineal gland, which releases a hormone that changes your chromosomal count. I have also read that to transend into the 4th dimension that you must have a chromosomal make up of 46 and 2. Additionally I have read that people do transend the 3rd and 4th dimension quite frequently. I didn't want to write this here because most of the people here don't comprehend exactly what that is.

Ok…I have some ideas going about the song “h”…

Basically this is linked to the theory of h being about MJK’s son…i have just learnt about endothermic and exothermic reactions in chemistry…

I learnt that the energy stored in bonds is called enthalpy, for which the symbol is “h”…there is my first link between the two…aside from the letter h though, I feel that this links well because of the energy which MJK gives to his son and the new stance on life his son must give him…and I also believe that this song is very much about bonds, both between himself as a child and his parents/abuser, his past self and his current self and himself and his son…

Exothermic reactions release heat to the surroundings and in endothermic reactions heat is absorbed from the surroundings…I think that this relates to what MJK has had to take in through his life and what he is now having to give out…”my blood before me begs me open up my heart again”…

The energy changes are associated with making or breaking bonds…I feel that MJK is breaking the bonds with his past and making them with his son…changes in energy, emotions and thought processes are bound to be taking place…

Bond breaking is endothermic and so the change in enthalpy is positive…breaking the bonds between him and the bad parts of his past will create a positive future for both himself and his son…

Bond making is exothermic and releases energy…as MJK is releasing energy into his son…

A reaction is exothermic if a collection of weak bonds (his memories and past) are replaced by stronger ones (present and future with his son)…exothermic is the opposite…MJK is being held back by weak bonds…

Basically when I learnt this I immediately saw links between the song “h” and enthalpy (h)…the reaction, giving out and absorption of energy, the making and breaking of bonds, the positive and negative values and the replacement of weak by strong and vice versa seem to build on a reflect the already popular of this song being about MJK’s childhood and his son…


Any thoughts??

(if you think thats a long shot, its not, especially when they said there were going to dedicate a satellite to pick up on the sound of a spray can, in order to curb down on graffitti in california. this was on CNN a few years ago)

with that said, i think bebubly...you're on to something. i remember learing about about the enthalpy and would never've made the connection until you pointed it out. now i'm going to have to analize this for a while.

That is a very interested interpretation. I have read interviews where maynard says that its about a near death experience he had...while on heroin...i dont know if the heroin part was said by him. But I've also personally heard him say in concerts something along the lines of " do you know what its like to have a devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other..." he says that before the song.

at the last Apc concert i heard him say after cracking a joke about something to do with an *** or something... "and this next song is a tribute to what we call anal sex " before going into thinking of you. WHich i thought was about just masturbation.

well spiritweb was one of the best sites on the planet. i mean it was like The site for basically anything related to spirituality. I'm almost saddened to think about it being gone. It was very important for my journey. And it was the first place i came across the merkaba. As soon as i read about it i knew that it was something i needed. Its funny that this is the way "spiritual" things tend to grab you. Its like you remember them, even though you've never known about them(at least in this "lifetime", when actually, we are remembering it through the veil that is covering the higher omniscient conciousness that is also us)

To tell you the truth...i dont visit any websites. And dont really know any that will give a big overview. Im sure you will find more with a google or yahoo search. especially since i dont really know what it is youre asking for. ascension2000.com is pretty ok...especially the menu on the lefthand side. Read the Ra material. its fabulous in my opinion, as well as the convergence series. The Ra "distortion" concept is very important in my opinion when trying to understanding what is true unconditional love, which is key to really getting anywhere in the merkaba or many spiritual paths. A distortion is basically the persepective of something being seperate. which is what will happen once the one conciousness "pretends" to divide to any degree. and the space between perspectives is infinite, shifting between any perspectives is ultimately energy, movement, or the potential there of. conciousness can manipulate this perspective changing, aka energy.
