Explosions In The Sky - The Rescue Redman - Muddy Waters Now listening to Scarface - The Fix - after only hearing The Diary this is a shock to the system, alot more R'n'B. Seems okay so far though. |

Got into Midnight Oil recently, great stuff.
Somewhat related... could someone recommend some Bjork for me? |
Today I just bought Kid A and The Bends by Radiohead. I also bought Loveless by My Bloody Valentine and the Led Zeppelin double disc DVD.
I decided to try out some of the classics....and I like them. In fact, I showed a song from Kid A to my mother (Idioteque), who I didn't think would like anything from Kid A. But as the music was playing she just kind of blankly stared off into space and I was like.....uhhh...what do you think? And she quietly says "That's kind of cool actually." So Radiohead has power over my mother appearently... |

The Max Levine Ensemble: They're a great pop-punk band on Plan-It-X. They have catchy music and great lyrics. They've got a new album coming out this year on PIX and all their old stuff is available on their website. Their best songs are Nihilism, Leopard Print Girl, Tidal Wave and Conventional
Spoonboy: He's the lead singer of the Max Levine Ensemble and he has some great solo acoustic stuff. There's a live show available at the Live Music Archive Michael Jordan Touchdown Pass: Great folky-pop reminiscent of Matty Pop Chart or Erin Tobey from the younger brother of the lead singer of Johnny Hob and the Freight-Trains. |

David Sugar - Fresh Off The Chip
You can download it here: http://www.8bitpeoples.com/discography_gfx.php#8BP060 It's super nintendo beats basically, but better than I've heard it done before. |
Red House Painters - S/T (the roller coaster cover)
Jaga Jazzist - What We Must Death Cab For Cutie - Transalanticism |
The Kinks - Arthur
soooo good, near perfect |

I like it a lot. A little rockier. |
A Silver Mt. Zion - Horses in the Sky
Mountains Made of Steam is like the best song ever. |
The Microphones - Mount Eerie
Don't know exactly what to think about this one yet |
Subtle - A New White, 1st listen to this right now and it sounds pretty damn good so far.
3. Das Efx - They Want Efx
Oh yes. Today so far: Killah Priest - Heavy Mental - This album is way too long. Should be like 12 songs. Jens Lekman - Oh You're So Silent Jens And Edgar-Allen Floe - only heard a couple of songs but he's decent. |
"How Near How Far" has always been one of my favorite Trail Of Dead songs, even more so since I finally figured out how to play that awesome bass line in the verses.
|
A Tribe Called Quest - The Low End Theory
|
Arcade Fire - Funeral
Ah its 2004 all over again. |
Drive Like Jehu - Yank Crime
