RTC is a parody of the old school style if anything.
i'm getting tired of the phrase "old school".
you should probably stop using it then |
I wasn't very fond of their (Origin's)other stuff but this new song is actually good...
agreed. I'd say its more than good though, more like "If the rest of the album is on par with the song I will **** myself" Hopefully it leaks soon so I can find out. |
so guys whats ur favorite vintage death band
|

Hopefully it leaks soon so I can find out.
I hope they are, but most of their songs are like 2 minutes long... |
so guys whats ur favorite vintage death band
My favourite vintage? Well probably the 1989. Fabulous year that, hints of Morbid Angel with subtle Autopsy overtones. Dusky, fruity Obituary mixing with sharp citrus Pestilence. |
sweet origin released a new song? "echoes of decimation" is a really good album imo
|
so guys whats ur favorite vintage death band
vintage goreslam clearly |
so guys whats ur favorite vintage death band
 tbh of the (old school) swedish death bands I've heard, God Macabre is my favorite.
vintage goreslam clearly
zackly |
So I was lurking in the MA forums and ran into this thread.
http://metal-archives.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=35918 Interesting... although probably fake. |
Those definitely sound fake...
If those are real...ugh... |
That's not Cryptopsy, I refuse to believe it. The drums are annoying enough but these songs are allegedly going to be "brutal", which that wasn't. That sounded like a Job for a Cowboy song or something.
You really think Flo is going to go a whole song without blasting incessantly? Come on now. We all know his ego. The end had some blasts but I dont buy it really. But you never know. The bass had a read Cryptopsy feel to it. |
It sounded like Breaking Benjamin.
But I really think this is a prank. |
Yeah I doubt it's real, it sounded way too clean considering the stage they're at. I remember the Carrionshine pre-prod' they put out and it sounded like complete nuts. That just sounded like a horribly mastered, but mastered, MySpace band song.
|
Did you hear the first one they posted? It seriously sounded like Breaking Benjamin with some Korn parts. The 2nd one sounded like a heap of half-assed, poorly arranged death metal-influenced (emphasis on the influenced) riffs with awful vocals and even worse drumming.
I'm pretty sure this is fake. I doubt the band has set such low standards for themselves. |
I dont think it's even an issue of standards, that just wasn't Cryptopsy. Losing Worm (again) changes them to a mediocre death metal band, not some shitty nu-metal group. Plus, don't you think we'd hear the newly recruited keyboards with at least some prominence?
|
but he said
I'm pretty sure this is fake.
|
I know it's fake. I meant it's not Cryptopsy in more ways than one. I refuse to believe it's them because it isn't them, not because the song sucks, because as we all know most Cryptopsy songs suck.
|
that's probably true man and IMO the songs don't suck that bad but it's just not how Cryptopsy should sound like :\
|
They're easily some of the worst songs I've ever heard.
|
Canadian death metal legends CRYPTOPSY sign to Sullen Records
|
Oh COME ON.
There is no ****ing way any of those songs are really Cryp. The vocals don't even sound like McGachy to be honest. |
Considering they were just finishing vocals on the 28th of February, and had yet to do "samples", I'm now 99.9% sure that those are fakes.
|
It seriously sounded like Breaking Benjamin with some Korn parts.
wtf is wrong with that? |
Canadian death metal legends CRYPTOPSY sign to Sullen Records
 |
Hilarious!! As if anyone would call Cryptopsy legends!! :-)
|
But they are.
None So Vile is a classic DM record and will always be. |
It's my 2nd favorite death metal album.
|
It's my 1st favorite DM album. :p
|
Close to a World Below destroys it though
Not that they're similar |
Canadian death metal legends CRYPTOPSY sign to Sullen Records
I hear NOCTURNUS will follow suit. |
They can make one of the best DM albums of all time and still suck, as they've proved
|
truth
|
srsly, the new origin song is fukn unreal
|
I bet there are MAD SWEEPZ
and INSANE BLASTBEATS and a lead singer WHO IS SO BRUTAL HE CAN'T SHUT THE **** UP |

|
I bet there are MAD SWEEPZ
and INSANE BLASTBEATS and a lead singer WHO IS SO BRUTAL HE CAN'T SHUT THE **** UP
i was just gonna write that but you pretty much summed it up |
The only thing i like from Origin is the latter half of the song Staring from the Abyss.
|
has the new Bloodbath EP been discussed at all in here? i just downloaded it and it is pretty awesome. Akerfeldt's growls are amazing as usual
|
Yeah, the day it was released everyone was talking about it.
It's pretty good. |
Recently I've been enjoying Crucifist a lot. Dan Lilker (Brutal Truth etc etc), John Gallo (Orodruin - great doom band) and others.
