That album slays.

As does Carnivore.

As does Destruction.

As does Municipal Waste.

pate 11-16-2006 12:32 AM

Destruction is amazing.

Apocalyptic Raids 11-16-2006 01:43 AM

Bringing Back The Bloodshed is definitely Frightmare's best album.

Bazarov 11-16-2006 03:37 AM
I dunno if it was talked about, but I'm stoked on Destruction's North American tour with Sadus and Municipal Waste next year. It's gonna be so awesome!

NP: Pantera - Primal Concrete Sledge
I just saw that tonight... ****ing awesome. Though on the way out, we saw the drummer of Municipal Waste.. they aren't doing the west coast tour with Destruction but Hirax will be there... I don't really like Hirax though.. but oh well it's ****ing Sadus and Destruction!

And GWAR and Municipal Waste were ****ing awesome once again.. I'm stoked.. after South Park is over.. it'll be shower time bitches.

Feel The Darkness 11-18-2006 04:48 PM

Word. I'm seeing the show in San Antonio, TX, so I'm pretty sure the Waste will still be on the tour. Also, my friends' hc band is playing the show, which I found kind of LOL but awesome at the same time.

check them out: http://www.myspace.com/livin03

Oh, and I still need to pick up the new Frightmare album. Although, the new Ghoul is FANTASTIC, so I have high hopes for any future Razorback releases.

EDIT: This is J_Atomic, btw, for anyone I had talked to prior to the name change.

I love the vocals Maniac Neil does for Frightmare and Lord Gore.

Definitely check it out, it's much better than Midnight Murder Mania.

AA-12 11-20-2006 11:08 AM

Bringing Back The Bloodshed is the newest, right?

AA-12 11-20-2006 03:09 PM

They are pretty good. Too melodic though.

AA-12 11-20-2006 03:22 PM

Easily.

I just think King's Evil is way too melodic for their own good. It takes away from the music.
Bringing Back The Bloodshed is the newest, right?
Yes.

CaptainWaits 11-21-2006 05:11 PM

I have a question about Overkill...

Is Tim still drumming, or is it this new guy Ron Lipnicki??

FatalEnergy 11-21-2006 08:12 PM

It's not Tim. I saw them a while ago, and Tim wasn't in the band

CaptainWaits 11-21-2006 08:20 PM

Yeh, I asked on the Overkill forum, and it is the guy I thought it was....Ron Lipnicki. I guess that forum (Overkill) just hasn;t been updated for quite a while then...

And if anyone cares, Overkill are currently in studio :)

FatalEnergy 11-21-2006 08:32 PM

The new album better be better than the last one, or I'm going to kick Blitz in the nuts when I see him.

Feel The Darkness 11-22-2006 03:32 AM

bummer, just read that Hirax is playing the Destruction show I was planning on going to. I don't think I'm ever going to see Municipal Waste.

bah.

Apocalyptic Raids 11-22-2006 03:48 AM

bummer indeed

oh well at least you still get to see Sadus and Destruction.

CER-TAIN DEATH!

AA-12 11-22-2006 03:49 AM

I hate how I always mix up Satus and Sadus.

Inpropagation 11-22-2006 08:37 PM

been listening to bonded by blood almost all day, smoked twice. hell yeah

Apocalypticon 11-22-2006 08:39 PM

So I just realised I'm in love with Pestilence - Consuming Impulse. Its so damn good.

Apocalyptic Raids 11-22-2006 08:42 PM

Consuming Impulse is amazing

even though it's not Thrash lol

Inpropagation 11-22-2006 08:43 PM
Consuming Impulse is amazing

only pestilence i dont have, and yeah, i was gonna say it's not thrash.

AA-12 11-22-2006 08:45 PM

It's pretty damn close to thrash.

Apocalypticon 11-22-2006 08:45 PM

Its thrash enough. I guess that means the thrash album I've been loving the most recently is Dark Angel - Time Does Not Heal.

CaptainWaits 11-22-2006 08:49 PM
The new album better be better than the last one, or I'm going to kick Blitz in the nuts when I see him.
Yeh, the new one was deffinetly a step down from "Killbox 13", but it still had some cool tracks, like "A Pound of Flesh".

Apocalyptic Raids 11-22-2006 08:50 PM
It's pretty damn close to thrash.
It's thrashy, but I wouldn't even call it Death/Thrash.

If we were talking about Malleus Maleficarum then it would be a different story.
only pestilence i dont have, and yeah, i was gonna say it's not thrash.
Man you need it, total classic. Easily in my Top 3 Death Metal album, and is a huge step above the rest of their other albums.

AA-12 11-22-2006 08:52 PM

It needs better production.

Apocalyptic Raids 11-22-2006 08:55 PM

What does?

Apocalypticon 11-22-2006 08:57 PM

I think he is talking about Consuming Impulse, I have to disagree though, the production is fine. Whatever genre it is, its a kick ass album.

AA-12 11-22-2006 08:58 PM

Ci.

Bazarov 11-22-2006 09:03 PM

A.R.G. are pretty sick...

NP: Adoration of the Kings

Apocalyptic Raids 11-22-2006 09:08 PM

A.R.G. are alright.

Josh you are silly. Consuming Impulse has fantastic production, especially for a Death Metal band in 1989. Sure it doesn't sound as good as Left Hand Path and Cause of Death but how many DM albums do?

and they didn't have the luxury of having a quality studio which was pretty much exclusively for extreme Metal bands like the Floridia bands did.

AA-12 11-22-2006 09:09 PM

:jonorant:

I meant the mixing tbh. Quality is fine, but everything sounds way too dry.

Apocalyptic Raids 11-22-2006 09:17 PM

It is dry, but it's refreshing to hear an old-school Death Metal album (especially from Europe) that isn't drenched in reverb and/or delay. Even though I do like that.

and Van Drunen's vocals are so good he doesn't need effects to make him sound better :]

AA-12 11-22-2006 09:18 PM

His vocals needed work bad. I just hate the overall production/mixing. Blah.

Apocalyptic Raids 11-22-2006 09:20 PM

His vocals are godly >:[

AA-12 11-22-2006 09:20 PM

As godly as Dying Fetus vox

Apocalypticon 11-22-2006 09:22 PM
His vocals are godly >:[
123, his vocals are one of the things I really like about the album. They're brutal but not generic and carry a good amount of individualism.

Apocalyptic Raids 11-22-2006 09:23 PM

ITT: Josh has bad taste in vocalists

anyway I would love to rant about how you are wrong more but I have class :(

AA-12 11-22-2006 09:24 PM

Good old school death vocals = Entombed + Obituary. Not Pestilence :)

That said, Pestilence does indeed kick ***.
