I need some help. I'm using Dreamweaver 8 and I'm trying to put an image on my site. It's a jpeg and the code is fine, but whenever I upload the page to the server, it won't load the image. I see the space where it's supposed to be for a split second before all trace of its existence vanishes. It's as if the space where the image was supposed to go was never there.

I've been searching for a troubleshooting guide for an hour and I can't find anything.

Try .raring the image, upload the .rar, then unrar it into the folder you need it in. I had the same problem before and that helped.

You're going to have to walk me through how to do that.

I just checked the Media tab under Tools in Firefox. Apparently, it says the image is text/html even though I saved it as a gif. I don't know if that helps.

Ah, that explains it a bit more, but I can't help you with it. I've come across a few images that come up as html also and haven't figured out what the deal is.
