Wages of Sin didn't have Johann.
.
I stand corrected. It's only the special edition disc that has songs with Johann. Anyway, I stand by Burning Bridges or Black Earth. Far better music, though I don't really like Johann's vocals. |
why did you bother posting this then?
Oh, I forgot, there are idiots like you who actually care. |

It's not hard to find the right thread to post in. If there isn't one, make it or just don't post. You look like a total idiot when you start off the post "i know this isn't the right thread...". |
Hey Josh, I know this isn't the right thread, but I like All That Remains :p
Sorry, I had to. I'll leave now. |
Who likes Disembarkation?

Dismember's guitar tone is always '****ing killer'
|
The guitar tone wasn't that crunchy on The God that Never Was, although the reason for it is pretty obvious.
|
What would that obvious reason be?
|
The album was meant to be more melodic and less crushing? I thought it was pretty obvious...idk...
|
I loved the guitar tone one The God That Never was, it fit perfectly with how melodic most of the leads were... like on Where No Ghost Is Holy
|
Yeah but the non-melodic riffs kind of suffered as a result. It seemed thin and flimsy to me. The way it fit the melodic parts perfectly makes up for it though.

 at gay song/album titles.
DENYING RELIGION WILL MAKE YOU COOL |

DENYING RELIGION WILL MAKE YOU COOL
Wow, good thing Dismember rule. Besides, as you may be able to tell by the band name, most of their songs are gore-related. I'm not sure if you've heard Dismember or not, have you? |
I'm baffled. Is writing about how awesome Jesus is cool in your eyes?
I don't really care about lyrics, but yeah. |
I love Jesus, yes I do
I love Jesus, how 'bout you! i'm cool now, right gice? |
My siblings dragged me to a Christian Irish folk-ish concert thing called like flaming fiddles and faith or something. It wasn't that bad until they played an acoustic ballad with cliche "God is good!" lyrics. I don't mind it when people sing about what they believe in, but they could at least be moderately creative with it...
|
Good lyricism would go like this though:
Always did it on my own then one day I realized I was blind, nothing I could do on my own Turn, we have found a way to see, look up... feel the Almighty Take control as we gaze into your eyes We're just the tool you use to bring this world to you Oh, Lord, how we love you With your grace, take away the hurt and the bruises inside, reach down let your glory reside The cross carried for all of us, paint the image in my mind So I will never think I am something, but nothing am I but you, you are something Lord you keep me alive, you give me rest at night When there seems no way to find calmness in the storm you come and take me in your arms and then the waves drown me no more With you I'll last this battle and many others Through the ages your name will reigh forever... never to be replaced In these trials I face, I pray you humble me Humble me I want to be like you Jesus more and more like you I was crucified on that day with Christ Nailing you there with sin, accepting you I nailed my soul to the cross and now my life begins This world so cold but your love keeps me warm My father holds me in his nailed scarred hands which I put there But for some reason he still loves me with all his heart Even through I betray him constantly He always keeps his arms open waiting, till I give up my old ways God my father, you are the only one that can give me comfort You touch my heart in such a way that all I can do is cry your name Jesus Christ I love you My heart aches for your love |
ok, that was kinda gay, but it showed moderate inspiration/creativity.
But do you really think that making fun of cliche anti-religion death metal songs/albums/lyrics is going to help you get into heaven or something? Or are you just gay like that? |
After listening to the new Dismember I have to say i'm very pleased. It's great.
But do you really think that making fun of cliche anti-religion death metal songs/albums/lyrics is going to help you get into heaven or something? Or are you just gay like that?
jesus christ will you stop posting PLEASE! |
Wow the use of the word "gay" in your posts is just that.
Do those bands really think they are more "metal" because they denounce religion and Christ? Or do you feel more "metal" yourself for the same? |
No, they simply write those songs and name them so because that has become their ideology, or perhaps facade over the years. It's probably not to make them look 'more metal' in the eyes of their fans.
|
Do those bands really think they are more "metal" because they denounce religion and Christ?
They are. Perhaps you're unaware of the origin of metal. |
Story time!
Please tell, Grandpa Dargon. |
One time a bunch of people hated the fake, happy facade of the bullshit society they lived in. So they created metal, and it was about the dark things society in general wouldn't explore. Then a bunch of stupid kids came and wrecked it. The end.
