I wonder if Destruction can top SKHM?
I heard the promo. The answer is...No.

Apocalyptic Raids 08-25-2005 09:12 PM

I knew it all along  The Exodus Attack!

I don't wanna get all of SKHM yet, I might just get four or five songs, then buy it.

Yeah, that's what I was planning on doing. Dukes really pulls off being in Exodus well. I'm happy about that.

Apocalyptic Raids 08-25-2005 09:53 PM

Well I've started downloading the whole thing from the MA forums >_>

I might just delete a few songs when it finishes, because no matter how many times I convince myself I will buy it, I probably won't. Although the fact that the mix isn't final could change that.

Oh, yeh of course. That's what I should've expected. I'd go over there right now, but I know another place where it's fully uploaded. I'll just use that :) .

Apocalyptic Raids 08-25-2005 10:30 PM

:chug: YSI is giving me a shit speed though :(

RavenousMetalist87 08-25-2005 10:31 PM

I can't get it because my aunt's PC doesn't have a RAR extracting utility, where as I believe mine does...

This is probably why I want to leave on Saturday than stay an extra day @_@

Apocalyptic Raids 08-25-2005 10:34 PM

Have a kickass time seeing Megadeth tonight :chug:

Terrorzone 08-26-2005 01:40 PM

Thanks, I plan too. If I had a Metallica shirt, I would wear it.

RavenousMetalist87 08-26-2005 08:40 PM

Well, I just thought I'd bump the thread for all of us, and say I heard the new Destruction (just like about 1:30 samples).

However, for being the time that was being sampled, I have to say I really dig the guitar work a lot. The whole sample feeling to me just screams "metal". It's evil, it's dark, and heavy.

Not to mention fast too

I also managed to pick up Death's Individual Thought Patterns (totally not thrash but a **** good death metal album), Exodus' Pleasures of the Flesh (need to really hear this tommorrow when I get back to L.A.), and Hades' 2-CD Reissue (i've sampled this and ****, is it ****ing badass or what?!?)

I have grown a liking for a lot of...prog-ish ideas in music lately. To me, it gives a great sound. Even if the beats suddenly shift, at least it's not the same thing over and over.

I like flavor. It's like adding spices to a taco. It adds a whole lot more.

/me wants a taco now >.>

FatalEnergy 08-26-2005 11:44 PM

Does somebody have the "Unchain the Wolves" album? I've been looking for it on Soulseek and can't find it

Apocalyptic Raids 08-27-2005 06:29 AM

I know RCA does.

ThrashMaster27 08-27-2005 08:05 AM

So yeah, I took whoevers advice and got Mercyful Fate - Don't Break The Oath. Great album, but I also noticed something when I heard the first song 'A Dangerous Meeting'. I heard a familiar riff going on. I racked my brains for ages and then finally found it out. The riff at 4:10 is exactly the same as the riff at 2:40 on Return to Hangar.

Anyway, that was just a general thing. I was gonna buy the new Destruction album the other day, but it was $36, so I didn't bother with it.

Apocalyptic Raids 08-27-2005 08:15 AM

I need more Mercyful Fate. I've only got Melissa. My local store never seems to have much Fate/King Diamond.

Bloody Soulseek is pissing me off right now. Whenever I go to get place in line, it comes up with "0", and i have to manually start wach download by pressing "retry". Not to mention I'm trying to download Scum.

ThrashMaster27 08-27-2005 08:19 AM

Yeah, I only had Melissa aswell. I got one of them RR dual CD's, with Don't Break The Oath and Return of the Vampire on it.

I go to JB Hi-Fi in Melbourne and they have most Mercyful Fate and King Diamond releases there, so it's pretty good if you have the cash. It's tea in the cricket so I'm back listening to music.

I bet you're loving the cricket :upset:

I usually shop a JB-HIFI too. Usually they have either one of those RR packs. Never both though. They also always have the Dead/World Demise double and never the one I really want, Slowly We Rot/Cause Of Death.

ThrashMaster27 08-27-2005 08:38 AM

Yeah, we're going well. You guys are getting a pretty steady total going in the 2nd innings at the moment, though.

I reckon it probably depends on the state and outlet to the stuff you have. Luckily in Melbourne the guy ordering for the Metal section is a proper Metalhead. I don't really dig the band he's in (Contrive) but he knows his metal. He saw Overkill with Gustafson, so that's all I need to know.

:-o

I have used Utopia's online store a couple of times. I just ordered Powerslave for $18 from there. They post with express too.

Terrorzone 08-27-2005 10:34 AM

Man Megadeth slayed. Dream Theater put me to sleep. Dillinger made me hate them more. I wandered during Fear Factory. Nevemore was good. I was i I got my cd signed by the Megadeth. Although I don't remember the order, there setlist was Blackmail the Universe, Set the world on Fire, Skin o my Teeth, Kick the Chair, Holy Wars, Reckoning Day, Symphony of Destruction, Peace Sells, In my Darkest Hour, Die Dead Enough, Tornado of Souls, Trust.

metal-militia 08-27-2005 10:38 AM

Sounds good :thumb:

nice haul there Ravenous... i've still yet to listen to the whole of the Hades reissue.
