Yea, that was him.

thickasabrick 12-04-2004 06:33 PM

how come he was so dirty? i'm sure it wasn't just a gimmick, cuz bands didn't really do that back then.

Badmoon 12-04-2004 06:44 PM

No, he grew up in a poor neighbor, was an alcoholic, was the Blues portion of the band, and was commonly loved by Hell's Angels.

Yea, my list is all CD's. A lot of of them I either have on the computer, listen to on the site, or have heard elsewhere and I just want them so I can listen to them any time.

BludgeonySteve 12-04-2004 07:24 PM

Shut the **** up about your christmas ****. Curse you Livewired for even bringing that **** spam into my thread and making everyone talk about it, thus creating 12 posts worth of spam!

Every year my parents put on Manhiem Steamroller Christmas music. It's so creepy.

I'm watching my Jimi Live at Berkely DVD, it's very good so far. I love how he can play a whole solo on feedback with his teeth.

Can't wait until I get my new computer and can watch DVD's on it (parents are too **** cheap to buy a DVD player).

jpj 12-04-2004 07:51 PM

I like Manheim Steamroller, my mom always plays it when we put the tree up.

I dont think it's exactly bad, it's just synthesiser heaven.

slowhand 12-04-2004 08:33 PM
what songs/albums does he sing on? i dont remember hearing him, but i haven't dug that deeply into the beatles music. i have only heard a couple albums, and then some songs here and there.
Like they told you, he sings in "Octupus's Garden," which is the best song he wrote during his Beatles year, and Harrison worked a lot on it too (Harrison felt that he should help Ringo out, since Lennon and McCartney were more interested in their compositions and could care less what George and Ringo did).

But the most famous song he has sung is "Yellow Submarine."

(Sorry for disappearing like that. My girlfriend came to visit. Do you know that a teacher in my school calls her "Olivia." If you didn't know, Olivia is the name of George Harrison's wife. That same teacher calls me George.)

I just bought that today.

BludgeonySteve 12-04-2004 08:41 PM

I got that about a year ago and I still watch it atleast once a week. It's a perfect example of how Hendrix is about 4875854875 times as good live ;).

The blues version of vodoo child is godly.
