Yeah I'd definately go if they came to the UK.

Anyone know when Gigantour is coming over to Europe?
Nothing's been finalized yet.

Bazarov 10-30-2006 08:36 PM
hahahaha

I definitely see Sadus if they came.

*insert drummer joke here*
Also Sadus is supposed to be touring with Obituaray, Cathedral and Blind Gaurdian, I hope that comes to San Diego

Also, I thought you were Dargon for a quick moment there.

AA-12 10-30-2006 09:34 PM

Yeah, that avatar is awesome :D

Poofy 666 10-30-2006 10:15 PM

I'm seeing Municipal Waste and Gwar this wednesday

FatalEnergy 10-30-2006 10:16 PM

Lucky! I'm seeing Destruction with Sadus and Municipal Waste, but that's in January

Nostalgia 11-01-2006 01:34 AM

So yeah, even though I don't really like thrash anymore, I still think Municipal Waste is awesome. Meh, at least Waste Em All is great.

pate 11-01-2006 09:39 AM

Waste Em All slays.

Apocalyptic Raids 11-01-2006 08:26 PM
Reunited British thrashers SABBAT will release remastered versions of their first two albums — "History of a Time to Come" (1988) and "Dreamweaver" (1989) — sometime next year via Sanctuary. "We've made a small bit of progress on this one," stated guitarist Andy Sneap. "I've been speaking to Sanctuary about reissues, and it looks as though we are doing remastered versions of 'History' and 'Dreamweaver', with a few bonus bits if possible. They (Sanctuary) have the multi-tracks to the first album and the live show in Berlin from the video, so again, possiblities there, and the BBC also has the session we did digitally archived."
Thats fantastic news!

Apocalyptic Raids 11-02-2006 08:49 PM

Yeah, those albums could really do with a good remastering too.

How gay.

Bazarov 11-02-2006 10:23 PM

I haven't listened to Sabbat in a while...

has anyone heard the Japanese Sabbat? Are they worth checking out?

Also.. I've noticed that 666wic666 is gone.... dammit.

Apocalyptic Raids 11-02-2006 11:23 PM

666wic probably got shut down by their hosts, that's what happened last time anyway. I don't care that much anyway, I have found myself using that site less and less lately, and the community there are a bunch of Europeans who could barely type proper English and had broken caps lock keys. I would search if it were still up, but one thread there went:

"ARE THERE ANYONE WHO REGRETS THE OLD DEATH METAL SCENE FROMT HE 1989 TO 1993??

ANYONE INTRESTED OLD SCHOOL DEATH SHITS????"

I mean this dude had great taste in Death Metal but he typed like a fucking retard.

I am not exaggerating, either.

I've got something by the Japanese Sabbat but to be honest I've never really listened to it. I remember it being Black/Thash style stuff.

edit: actually nevermind that, I was thinking of Abigail from Japan, not Sabbat. I haven't heard anything by the Japanese Sabbat.

Bazarov 11-03-2006 09:54 AM

I've used it a few times... but now that DC++ won't work on my computer anymore, I was going to start using it more often probably.

Hmm. I guess I'll just try and soulseek the Japanese Sabbat.

Get the first 5 or so EPs. Great stuff! Sabbat is pretty much a can do no wrong band
So yeah, even though I don't really like thrash anymore, I still think Municipal Waste is awesome. Meh, at least Waste Em All is great.
I really hurt my neck during their set, even though I felt dumb being the only one singing along and headbanging :-\

GWAR was amazing though. Not a fan of their music, but something about being sprayed with blood and semen was the most rewarding thing I have ever experienced :p

ATM 11-06-2006 09:14 PM

Haha I'm going to the same tour.

I saw GWAR before, so much fun.

FatalEnergy 11-07-2006 10:00 PM

I've really wanted to see Gwar. Still haven't got to yet

Poofy 666 11-08-2006 07:49 PM
I've really wanted to see Gwar. Still haven't got to yet
I really reccomend you see them. Most fun you will have while being sprayed with semen, I promise.

:amaze:

There was some interview with Municipal Waste on TV a few months back which was pretty interesting as they showed some live footage. I'm not a big fan of them really, but I listen to them every once in a while.

Apocalyptic Raids 11-09-2006 08:48 AM

They're pretty good. I used to listen to them alot, but I'm a little sick of them now.

Bazarov 11-10-2006 04:16 PM

Has anyone heard Vulcano? I just read a review on their album Bloody Vengeance.. it seems like it might be very good.

wrathchild88 11-10-2006 04:49 PM

Yes! My Coroner and Metal Church t-shirts have arrived, along with my Artillery hoodie.

But I still want Exhorder and Heathen merch.

Apocalyptic Raids 11-10-2006 07:12 PM

Bloody Vengeance is great.

Bazarov 11-11-2006 02:11 AM

It better be.

I listened to Whiplash a few hours ago. Fun listen, haven't heard them in a while.

Apocalyptic Raids 11-11-2006 02:16 AM

I've got a Whiplash album. I've listened to it like, twice.

New Bewitched album is out too.

Yeah, they aren't a band I can see myself listening to constantly.

What's the Bewitched album called?
Yeah, they aren't a band I can see myself listening to constantly.

I have Sit, Stand, Kneel, Prey by Whiplash

The new Bewitched is called Spiritual Warfare

FatalEnergy 11-12-2006 12:21 AM

Bewitched just sounds like the same old stuff done to death again to be honest.

NP: Skid Row - Slave to the Grind

AA-12 11-12-2006 12:29 AM

No way. Bewitched is one of the best metal bands out there. Spiritual Warfare is awesome.

Apocalyptic Raids 11-12-2006 01:28 AM

I think Bewitched take their Mercyful Fate and Maiden influences to make something which might not be ultra-original, but it's definitely got more character of it's own than most retro-styled bands. They are one of the few "retro" bands I like alot.

and it's a side project anyway, so that's why the band probably isn't too concerned with being original and are just doing it for fun more than anything.

wrathchild88 11-13-2006 07:30 AM

Anyone else heard of Hexen? I only found out about the today and think they're pretty good.

http://www.myspace.com/hexen

Is it just me or does the download link by the songs not work?

Apocalyptic Raids 11-15-2006 01:55 AM

This just in: The new Bewitched is painfully average.

Bazarov 11-15-2006 07:19 PM

GAH! Carnivore is the most manly band on earth.

Feel The Darkness 11-15-2006 08:46 PM

I dunno if it was talked about, but I'm stoked on Destruction's North American tour with Sadus and Municipal Waste next year. It's gonna be so awesome!

NP: Pantera - Primal Concrete Sledge

pate 11-15-2006 09:24 PM

Carnivore is great stuff.

JESUS HITLER ADOLF CHRIST

Poofy 666 11-15-2006 09:54 PM

Finally got my hands on Bringing Back the Bloodshed. Now if only these guys went on tour...
