rockindrummer 10-22-2005 12:07 AM

Seafroggys 10-22-2005 12:09 AM

rockindrummer 10-22-2005 12:23 AM

You sick man, you know you are almost considered a child molestor.

Seafroggys 10-22-2005 12:29 AM

god damn people and their uptightness. its the fricken internet, loosen up...

personally i prefer older women than me. Being 18 that opens up a lot of options, and a lot of good ones at that

Ahh 5 years aint bad at all really, I don't think it's that much.

Seafroggys 10-22-2005 12:33 AM

she'll be 14, and by then i'll be 19......

yeah its different when you're young....

now if i'm 19, and i find someone who's 24......oh yeah, different story

Speaking of which, to find out the youngest you can safely date someone, take your age, half it, and add 7. Doesn't work to people younger than 14, but most people here probably aren't.

I was just joking man, I knew you wern't being serious.

Ya jim your right a 5 year gap isn't that bad but it is somewhat different when the girl, in this case, is 14 and the guy is 19. Those are two totaly differents sides of the hs spectrum, which would seem somewhat odd. But as soon as people are in university or past that, that oddness changes and it doesn't matter anymore, noone seems to care about the age difference but when it is a 5 year diff in HS people take almost an offence to it.

Double Bass Jim 10-22-2005 12:36 AM

Ahh yes, it's all in the age balance.

rockindrummer 10-22-2005 12:38 AM

That it is jimmy, that it is.

haha that's weird, how'd you figure that out.

Seafroggys 10-22-2005 12:40 AM

its just one of those urban legend things that gets passed around...

i actually like it, it works fairly well...a 60 year old could date a 37 year old...I could date a 16 year old (which I wouldn't) and going the opposite way, the oldest someone can be and still be safe to date me is 24 (in a month, when i turn 19).

Guys on here always love to call Jim by pet names.

rockindrummer 10-22-2005 12:52 AM

^ How is jimmy a pet name? It is more of a nick name, or atleast i've never heard of a pet with the name jimmy, normally it is just some gangster in one of those old school gangster movies.

Ok well last night I put my new heads on my toms and the sounded pretty good from a couple taps, but then this morning when I was playing around on my kit I noticed that my rack toms was buzzing. I figured out that the head hadn't seated properly. So I cranked it down, to roughly the same tension all around, in hopes of it seating better while leaving it under the tension all day and night. I'll tune it back down to my normal playing pitch and see if it worked out properly. If it doesn't does anyone have any other tips on seating a head?

Epiphender 10-22-2005 12:53 AM

Ehh I just put the head on, hold the hoop, and press in the middle for awhile.

Give the center of the head some firm press downs with the palms. Crack that glue in good.

a pet name would be like

jimmy wimmykins or something

plz dont hurt me

rockindrummer 10-22-2005 01:08 AM

I did press in the middle the first time and heard a bit of glue crack but not much. I'll try it again under the higher tension and hold it for a while.

EDIT: I just tried and heard no glue cracking. I put a fair amount of weight into it too.

when i seat, i dont press it, i tune it till it chokes, and bring it down to wrinkles, then back and forth one more time, and then tune it. just get it moving..
