My top 100 bassists competition is going pretty smoothly in R&M. So far, only one idiot had the nerve to vote for Fieldy, and it was that Korn fanboy Eleventeen. Hopefully he won't make it to the polls

Reaganista 05-19-2005 08:54 PM

I just got back from seeing the Evens. It was pretty sweet.

But everyone just looooves the way his bass clangs.

It puts the crunch into the corn.

The NPC 05-20-2005 12:16 AM

Silver Apples, good times.

YDload 05-20-2005 12:19 AM

I like apples. When everyone else on campus was dropping like flies from colds and flus, I was safe and healthy because I ate a fresh green apple for almost every meal.

Yum

Tapeworm 05-20-2005 12:21 AM

that's not healthy.

That's Ian McKaye's new band isn't it?

On a related note, I'm gonna see the arcade fire tonight.

br3ad_man 05-20-2005 06:09 AM

Have fun and let us know how they are. I'd really like to seem them live someday.

Yes.
I saw them last Monday...absolutely awesome live band. They all swap instruments as well, which is pretty cool. And yeah, I know I've already told y'all about this. :upset: I have my last mock exam tomorrow. 3 hours of economics. :-/
I hear you have 7 hours of economics though.

Iai 05-20-2005 01:38 PM

The Arcade Fire were fairly underwhelming on Jules Holland. That was a TV show though.

Bartender 05-20-2005 01:52 PM

I only saw the second song they performed (Rebellion (Lies) or something?) on Jools, and I thought they were pretty good. The two violinists collided with each other and fell over and it amused me greatly.

Is anyone else (probably in the UK) planning to watch Dylan Moran later tonight?

Iai 05-20-2005 02:17 PM

I have it on DVD and can practically recite it word-for-word. I might do though. Depends what else is on.

*fondly remembers Dylan Moran avatar*

talk show host 05-20-2005 02:23 PM

I'll probably watch it. I don't like him in Black Books or Shaun of the Dead, but I saw him do a short stand-up routine on Comic Relief or whatever it was, and it was good.

Iai 05-20-2005 02:31 PM

He wasn't great in Shaun of The Dead, but that is nothing short of blasphemy.
