Add it to Bluegrass and make yourself a Progressive Bluegrass musicians and we'll all meet up in a few years and have a jam ;)

In America of course.

thickasabrick 10-27-2004 09:08 PM

i was just listening to Mr. Tambourine Man...what is it supposed to be about? a lot of Dylans songs have deeper meanings then he shows, i think this one sounds like its about a drug dealer or something.

Badmoon 10-27-2004 09:12 PM

Or drugs in general :)

Hmmm, did the Byrd's cover this? I thought they wrote it.

But my best friend said, "Paul McCartney covered Live and Let Die from Guns and Roses, didn't he?"

looks like i got here just in time, poeple say thats its about drugs because its seems o be the template for a thousand other pyshadelia songs after that are about drugs. I read that it was actually about some very skillful black session musican who played drums or something that also happened to have a large tambourine he could play to lighten the mood.

Creedence Clearwater 10-27-2004 11:12 PM

Your best friend is a moron. Paul McCartney wrote Live And Let Die for a 007 movie in the 70's. GnR were just bored.

the mighty zep 10-28-2004 03:01 PM

GnR covered alot of stuff by other bands...i was surprised because before i seriously got into classic rock, i thought it was original. Live & Let Die, Knockin on Heavens Door, Sympathy for the Devil, and i believe theres a few more. I have the albums, dont feel like checking
