Also, the Spurs just won the NBA Finals, which makes me wrong about them...again.
Good, the Pistons were starting to get on my nerves.

Illmatic 06-23-2005 10:08 PM

WTF, Duncan won Finals MVP?

Manu or Horry plz.

lunch998 06-23-2005 10:09 PM

Manu was hurt for a bit (I'm not saying he wasn't a key aspect of the team's success) and Horry isn't the star player they want winning the MVP (Manu isn't either, yet). Plus it's hard to deny Duncan.

Illmatic 06-23-2005 10:10 PM

He almost blew Game 5.

lunch998 06-23-2005 10:11 PM
He almost blew Game 5.
Yea but he's always a key factor in all their other wins, and not just in this series. Throughout the playoffs.

It's mainly just big marketing. Duncan is an all-star player who sells jerseys.

Yeah but it rule if Horry won it.

RCA 06-23-2005 10:17 PM

I've met Tim Duncan; he's a nice fellow.

lunch998 06-23-2005 10:18 PM

Horry is so clutch, it's amazing. It would be nice if he had the MVP, but I'm sure his 6th NBA title will ease the pain.

Illmatic 06-23-2005 10:19 PM

I'm sure he is, but I wouldn't have given him MVP....he played poorly for most of the series.

EDIT: About Duncan

RCA 06-23-2005 10:20 PM

I didn't watch all of the finals this year, was it a good series?

Illmatic 06-23-2005 10:24 PM

Not really.

The first four games were blowouts, Game 5 was a classic, and the last two games were good if not wholly memorable.

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-23-2005 10:25 PM

So I'm guessing San Antonio won it?

Man, I feel so emo asking that.

They don't call him Big Shot Bob for nothing.

I think he and Manu deserved it more than Duncan.

Oh okay, I didn't miss anything spectacular. I saw 1 and 2, and highlights of 5. Thanks for filling me in man. :)

Duncan's such a whiteboy.

I'm a conflicted man about the finals. One side of me is saying "Haha, the Pistons didn't get to 'prove themselves' like they said they were out to do in the beginning of the finals. New Badboys my arse".

But the other side of me is saying "Fuuuuuuuccccckkkk the spppuuuurrrrrrssss".

God, this year sucked.

Are you kidding me? This was a great year for the NBA.

Let's all pray hockey is back next year for ****s sakes.

Not the NHL...that ish was third-rate hockey.

Yea, I think it was a good year for the NBA.

You do not have any say in if the NHL sucks or not, just shut the hell up.

Lunch 06-23-2005 10:40 PM

What do you think about Phil's chances of turning around the team?

Illmatic 06-23-2005 10:41 PM
You do not have any say in if the NHL sucks or not, just shut the hell up.
The NHL had some serious issues and we both know it.

He'll have the Lakers in the playoffs, guar-en-teed

I endorse this statement.

Seriously. NHL>nothing.

I would agree.

Oh man, I hope it is. Even if it means my Bruins get smacked by the Canadiens in the first round again.

I've been watching international hockey, and I must say that teams outside of the USA play with alot more finesse. Plays are executed with so much precision; I could sometimes swear the players were robots.

I heart hockey.
Are you kidding me? This was a great year for the NBA.
Not if your a Kings fan :upset:

Trades, injuries, meltdowns. The usual really :/

Shred Danson 06-23-2005 10:51 PM

Phil will have them in the playoffs, but I only see them going (at the least) past the second round. They need a little work, getting Phil back as coach was a plus. But Kobitch needs some better backup besides Odom. Odom is a little bit rusty, in my opinion. But I defenitely think the Lakers will improve strongly next year.

I love Olympic Hockey because the rinks are bigger, which allows for more passing and creativity...tis a thing of beauty.

Depending on who they draw, the WCF wouldn't be a stretch.

AIC/EAZY-E 06-23-2005 10:51 PM

On a side note, I heard Anselmo takes it up the bum.

He has some kind of inferiority complex with his numbers or something.

Lunch 06-23-2005 10:53 PM

I could never get a name change, so I felt like making this one. Maybe eventually I'll get a merge with my other one. Also with this one, I don't have the responsibility to be and upstanding user.

And also what JPJ said.

I only had to ask one time for my name change. It quite wierd. I asked Jeremy almost as a joke, and then I saw my new name, and huzzah, there you have it.

I'm sure if you asked him, he'd merge em.
