listen to this band. you wont regret it.
lies. john cage three constructions |
How is it weird?
It's like shoegaze only good.
The women vocalist sounds sort of awkward and the music is really mythical and spacey. I don't know I can't really get into it. |
Garden State - OST
If the movie is as good as the music, I may have to see this. |
It is a quality movie.
I've been listening to: Ted Leo and the Pharmacists - Hearts of Oak |
Bob Dylan - Bringing It All Back Home
The Smiths - The Smiths |
Jeru Da Damaja - The Sun Rises In the East
Islands - Return to the Sea Radiohead - Com Lag The Jeevas - 1,2,3,4 The Clash - s/t The Congos - Heart of the Congos |
Aphex Twin - I Care Because You Do
This is very underated and it's almost as good as the Richard D. James Album. I can't stop listening to Come on You Slags! and Mookid. |

I love this album so much.
I watched the making of that last night. It's a pretty cool documentary. |
Yeah, that would be interesting. Wilco are a great band. I need to get some more of their stuff.
|
I watched the making of that last night. It's a pretty cool d0cumentary.
I Am Trying to Break Your Heart? Great stuff.

Rage Against The Machine - Evil Empire
Might give their s/t a shot later, because I didn't really like it first time. |
I haven't been able to stop listening to Beulah so far this week.

Tortoise - It's All Around You
This is Tortoise's weakest effort but it still has some really warm and "feel good" tracks. |
Modest Mouse - Good News For People Who Love Bad News
Amazing. |
Devendra Banhart - Cripple Crow
Love it more and more every time. |
Elvis Costello
|
Food - Veggie
|
Young Black Teenagers - Young Black Teenagers
Gal Costa - Gal Costa Mantronix - The Album Herbert - Scale I've been in a bit of an old school mood today. Young Black Teenagers is some nice late 80's stuff, solid Bomb Squad production. I've had this Mantronix album for a while, nice mid 80's electro. Raps are typical old-school, but the beats are where it's at. First experience with Gal Costa, she's the ****, too. |
Depeche Mode
|
Mudhoney - Under A Billion Suns
Giant Drag Black Heart Procession |
Elvis Costello
Right on, man. I love Elvis. Little Man's avatar made me realized I haven't listened to some Frank Sinatra in a long time, so I dug out my dad's old four disc set, "The Reprise Collection." Four discs of classic Sinatra tunes, complete with a big booklet and liner notes with a snazzy case too. |
Wolfmother - Wolfmother
Shall be seeing them tomorrow at Sasquatch so I'm preparing. So pumped. |
Bear vs. Shark.
Great band. |
The Unicorns.
|
Wolfmother - Wolfmother
Shall be seeing them tomorrow at Sasquatch so I'm preparing. So pumped.
That band is terrible. Now you probably know by now that I don't pay much attention to lyrics, so they have to be really good or really bad to get me to notice them. The ones in "Mother" are definitely the latter. And the music is just recyclec Sabbath riffs without the attitude or ingenuity that made them so great in the first place. |
Prefuse 73 - Read the Books EP
The Decemberists - The Tain EP |
Massive Attack - Mezzanine
This album is just so ****ing cool. Man. I was walking home in the dark tonight listening to it and it was creepy as **** but I loved it. I really need to check out their other stuff (I'll get Blue Lines or whatever soon) |

They aren't anything new or ground breaking thats for sure but I wouldn't call them terrible. They are just fun which is why I like and listen to them. XTC - Black Sea Fantastic. That about sums it up. |
Picked up these two today:
Gnarls Barkley - St. Elsewhere On first listen it certainly lives up to praise that's been given to it around here and elsewhere. Really cool shit. Frank Sinatra - Songs for Swingin' Lovers 'nuff said. |
it's an OK Computer day!
|
The Reverend Al Green.
|
Stereolab - Emperor Tomato Ketchup This makes me feel happy.
Girl Talk - Night Ripper Mash up masterrrr. Sufjan Stevens - A Sun Came more synthbased. sounds nothing like Illinois Gang Gang Dance - God's Money <3 egypto-dance music. really good. |
