It's cool, like I said, the Russian site :)

metal-militia 10-17-2006 06:15 AM

None Shall Defy is a great album! I remember a few years ago I ordered it off some site and it never turned up.

AA-12 10-17-2006 03:33 PM
Can we do it through AIM though? I can upload if you want me to do that.
Could you just upload it possibly?

Nostalgia 10-17-2006 05:23 PM

Uhm, yeah I think. Gimme a sec though.

.:Thrasher:. 10-17-2006 08:59 PM

hey guys....havent been on in a while

I have been getting into some death metal lately like Death and Morbid angel.......and some Nile :P.......but i dont really like the recent death metal because back in the 80s it was practically thrash metal guitar with death growls and thats what im into.

Chuck Schuldiner FTW :P

anyway its nice to see this threads still up and doing well:chug:

seeya:wave:

Apocalyptic Raids 10-17-2006 10:05 PM

Old-school Death Metal is where it's at.

FatalEnergy 10-17-2006 10:12 PM

Definately, I can't stand "modern" Death Metal.

NP: Kreator - Toxic Trace

pate 10-18-2006 12:16 AM

Absolutely.

Stoic 10-19-2006 04:19 PM

So, can someone recommend me a few essential Tankard songs?

Bazarov 10-19-2006 05:34 PM

Pretty much any song from The Morning After. I think every song on that album is great.

FatalEnergy 10-19-2006 09:23 PM

To be honest, I never found Tankard all that great of a band. They bore me.

Deth 10-19-2006 09:52 PM

Darkness Descends is about the Godliest thing I have heard in a long while.

Wow.

Apocalyptic Raids 10-20-2006 01:51 AM

Tankard are pretty good, but I've never been mad on them.

AA-12 10-20-2006 01:52 AM

Yeah, it's classic.

EDIT: DD, not Tankard.

Nepenthe 10-20-2006 04:48 PM

Darkness Descends is one of the few 'hyperblast speed' bands that doesn't get old after a while.

I was going to look into Tankard next week.

Poofy 666 10-20-2006 04:58 PM
Darkness Descends is about the Godliest thing I have heard in a long while.

Wow.
\m/

Gene Hoglan makes me feel like such a n00b at drums :(

Stoic 10-20-2006 05:28 PM

How are Dark Angel hyper blast

Nepenthe 10-20-2006 05:30 PM

?... Because they're really fast...

Apocalypticon 10-20-2006 06:07 PM

Speaking of Dark Angel I listened to Darkness Descends for the first time a couple of days ago. Pretty sweet album. Aswell I downloaded Overkill's Feel the Fire, pretty good album aswell.

Stoic 10-20-2006 06:49 PM
?... Because they're really fast...
uhh...but when you say hyperblast the first thing that comes to my mind is Hate Eternal's (ew) drumming :p

Overkill have some pretty headbangable tunes (E.N.D. \m/)

pate 10-20-2006 09:01 PM

Derek Roddy + Erik Rutan > Hate Eternal as a whole

Dark Angel and Gene Hoglan are like the greatest things ever.

Freezing Moon 10-20-2006 09:30 PM

Hyperblast?

When I think of that I think of some shitty norsecore black metal band or maybe some new age br00tal death metal crap. Definitely not the thrashfest that is Darkness Descends.

pate 10-20-2006 09:32 PM

I think Anthony put more of the emphasis on 'hyper' than 'blast'

wrathchild88 10-21-2006 03:12 PM

Anyone else like Coroner?

R.I.P. is a fantastic album.

pate 10-21-2006 06:34 PM

Indeed it is.

FatalEnergy 10-21-2006 08:05 PM

No More Color is my favorite. Coroner were great.

NP: Mercyful fate - Burning the Cross

Apocalyptic Raids 10-21-2006 10:06 PM

Punishment For Decadence is my favourite but Coroner's first three are all fantastic, really.

Bazarov 10-26-2006 01:46 AM

Hell yes! Destruction, Sadus, and Municipal Waste are coming near me on January 24. I'm so going to be there.

I don't know about Sadus' new stuff, but Chemical Exposure is awesome.

Apocalyptic Raids 10-26-2006 03:46 AM

I heard a track off the new Sadus and it was rather crap.

Stoic 10-26-2006 07:10 AM

Seconded :-\

Apocalyptic Raids 10-26-2006 07:13 AM

I rarely have high expectation for any old-school bands anymore, so I wasn't suprised.

wrathchild88 10-26-2006 07:17 AM

I'm going to see Onslaught on the 30th. If you havn't heard of them, they're practically Britain's only thrash band. They last put an album out in about 1989 and I think they might have a new one next year, which I hope will be back to the standard that 'The Force' and 'In Search of Sanity' set.

Other news:
I'm getting an Artillery - Fear of Tomorrow hoodie and a Metal Church and Coroner t-shirt.

Apocalyptic Raids 10-26-2006 07:30 AM

Britain had plently of Thrash bands.

I'm not a huge fan of Onslaught. It's just total Venom worship, really. I've got Power From Hell, but if I wanted to listen to Black Metal, then I would put Black Fucking Metal on.

NP: Possessed - Death Metal

wrathchild88 10-26-2006 07:32 AM

I don't really like Power From Hell that much. The vocals annoy me, but only really because the vocals on The Force are so good.

NP: Metal Church - Merciless Onslaught

pate 10-26-2006 10:12 AM

The new Sadus is worthless.

FatalEnergy 10-26-2006 01:43 PM

The new Sadus songs come off much better live, but I'd agree the new album blows. They rule live though. Sadus Attack is godly live.

metal-militia 10-29-2006 11:24 AM
Punishment For Decadence is my favourite but Coroner's first three are all fantastic, really.
Finally we agree on something Jon :p

I'd love to see Sadus, as long as they stuck to the old classics like Sadus Attack and Certain Death.

FatalEnergy 10-30-2006 03:11 AM

They still play both of those live. Definatley worth seeing.

My thrash band just broke up. Stupid drummers.

metal-militia 10-30-2006 06:14 AM

Yeah I'd definately go if they came to the UK.

Anyone know when Gigantour is coming over to Europe?

Apocalyptic Raids 10-30-2006 08:05 AM
Finally we agree on something Jon
hahahaha

I definitely see Sadus if they came.
My thrash band just broke up. Stupid drummers.
*insert drummer joke here*
