It's the upside of my forearm and this was taken when it was fresh. It means "intelligence, kindness, courage" in Chinese.

That's a very narrow view in my opinion. A tattoo to me, is a form of expression, it signifies (for the most part) a significant point in ones life and can be helpful in healing, the rememberance/tribute of a life, or celebrating a triumphant point in a person's life.

Also it could just be for the hell of it too, it's what matters to you when you get it obviously.

Yeah, I'm not dark in my opinion although I do darken quite a bit in the summer for obvious reasons
