I feel like doing something creative in my free time (and I have plenty of free time) but I dont know what :(

Jom 02-10-2006 03:12 PM

Olive Garden is good eating when they have the never-ending pasta bowl. Pick your pasta and sauce with unlimited salad and breadsticks for only $8 USD. And of course, the pasta bowl never ends... until your stomach explodes.

Sooooooooooooo good. Their main entries aren't really my thing, but I know my parents always order the Tour of Italy (chicken parmesan, alfredo, and lasagna, I think it is).

Jev 02-10-2006 03:13 PM

Nando's have a bottomless glass. Good when you're at the restaurant but you need a piss every 5 minutes on the way home.

Plus... those breadsticks!

TheDMV 02-10-2006 03:16 PM

I've never been to Olive Garden. My mother always claims it's just fake Italian food, so I'm perfectly content with just sticking ot my grandma's cuisine.

Yeah, those bowls are big. But the only 2 times that I went, I ate the pizza both times...My parents ate the pasta bowls.

Appetizers are good and big too. And if im not mistaken the bread there that they serve before everything is delicious.

It isn't real Italian food, that doesn't mean it's not amazing.

kurrpt 02-10-2006 03:19 PM

yea, im a pretty big fan of the place, barring last nights "outting"

I got the garlic herb chicken with broccilli. The nice thing about that place is im always full when i get the main course, which means a NICE doggie bag to take home

TheDMV 02-10-2006 03:19 PM
It isn't real Italian food, that doesn't mean it's not amazing.
Compared to the afforementioned Nan's cooking, I would be surprised if it wasn't 'not amazing'.

GenuineImitation 02-10-2006 03:21 PM

The Olive Garden is ok, but is dog food compared to authentic Italian cooking. Im Italian and all the women (and a few uncles and cousins) in my family are excellent chefs.

Kage 02-10-2006 03:22 PM

The point I think Eleventeen is making is that, the food might still taste good, even if it's not true Italian. Just don't think of it as Italian.

It's like a band that makes good music, even if it's not real metal or whatever.

Moses 02-10-2006 03:23 PM

Buca Di Beppo's is a good place. I'm not sure if it's just local or if it's big or anything but I like it and it's authentic.

I wouldn't care if it wasn't real Italian food. I still just don't think it would stack up with homemade pasta.
Buca Di Beppo's is a good place.
absolutley not.

Jom 02-10-2006 03:25 PM
Buca Di Beppo's is a good place.
But also mad expensive. Olive Garden is much cheaper and you get decent meals if you're not finicky. I'll get some form of pasta with alfredo sauce and breadsticks and that rules.

GenuineImitation 02-10-2006 03:27 PM

I love alfredo sauce, even if it can cause a heart attack.

TheDMV 02-10-2006 03:30 PM

I think commercials for the O Garden probably have some of the worst acting I've ever witnessed.

Stormrider 02-10-2006 03:33 PM

Alfredo sauce is realy good. I love pasta with sea food and alfredo sauce.

Hehe, with an appetizer of garlic escargos.

kurrpt 02-10-2006 03:45 PM

o GOD what did i start with this

GenuineImitation 02-10-2006 03:51 PM

I just got my 12 year old cousin into At the Gates, Dream Theater, Children of Bodom, Running Wild and Sonata Arctica. Before his visit, he liked Simple Plan and Fall out Boy.

kurrpt 02-10-2006 03:52 PM

job WELL done man

/claps

Shattered_Future 02-10-2006 03:54 PM

Good for you, GenuineImitation. Spread the word. :thumb:

Italian food: My grandmother is pure Italian. She makes the absolute best sauce I've ever tasted.

TojesDolan 02-10-2006 04:00 PM

Well done. I still can't manage to get myself out of Fall Out Boy.

I want to be your cousin. :upset:

Anywho, I'm going to a local bands thing at some night club tonight. yippeayay.

100% sicillian are you. Do you have any connections with the mafia?

superpeer 02-10-2006 04:15 PM

What the hell is Alfredo Sauce?

Steerpike 02-10-2006 04:20 PM
Alfredo sauce is realy good. I love pasta with sea food and alfredo sauce.
For me there's nothing like a bowl of pasta with alfredo sauce, mushrooms, and sundried tomatoes.

gmoneyguy 02-10-2006 04:20 PM
What the hell is Alfredo Sauce?
white cheese like sauce, served with fettucini.

/is half italian

superpeer 02-10-2006 04:25 PM

Hah, okay. I don't know much about food.

GenuineImitation 02-10-2006 04:27 PM
white cheese like sauce, served with fettucini.

It could be served on other types of pasta also.

/Im very hungry right now. I cant wait for my mom to get back with the chinese food.

Peer: I suggest you try it next time you go to an Italian restaurant. Its pretty heavy and unhealthy, but very tasty.

gmoneyguy 02-10-2006 04:28 PM
Hah, okay. I don't know much about food.
Haha I'm a fulltime cook plus my mom cooks alot of fettucini alfredo, and other Italian dishes.

That place is cool. There are two of them around here. We sat in the "pope room" for my cousin's birthday party, and there was this wax model of the pope's head in the middle of the table...it was kinda creepy.

superpeer 02-10-2006 04:33 PM

On the rare occasion I'm in an Italian restaurant I just order a pizza, a cheap pizza that is, because I'm poor and can't afford much else.

GenuineImitation 02-10-2006 04:39 PM

O go to restaurants with my parents usually so I dont have to worry about paying anything. Whenever I am with friends, we usually get pizza, tacos or burgers.

gmoneyguy 02-10-2006 04:41 PM

ughhhh pizza........ I have to do madrigal feast tonight and its all catered by Olive Garden.

superpeer 02-10-2006 04:42 PM

My parents don't go to restaurants. So I hardly ever go. Only very basic things. Cheap things, basically.

Shattered_Future 02-10-2006 04:43 PM

Alfredo sauce is ungodly...

gmoneyguy 02-10-2006 04:44 PM

I love alfredo, and my moms spicy marinara.
