His high scream I don't mind, but his growl sounds like those cheesy sounds that close-minded people make when they try to make fun of death metal. I can't believe he actually records himself doing it.

Listen to the growling on Unhallowed, his vocals on Miasma just aren't that good.

Unhallowed is the only BDM album I have.

I think the growling is pretty good on that album.

I have to agree with Matt here, BDM's vocalist slays.

I agree, Master's Apprentices is the best song off of Delivrance.

I've come to the conclusion that Morningrise is their best. And no, thats not just because most fanboys say it is, it's because the album is simply their best work IMO. Orchid is a so close to being their best also, it is so hard to decide between them.

The songwriting isn't that good, IMO. Cool riffs though.

The songs from every other album grab my attention more than the ones on the first two albums, simply because the songwriting become more sophisticated.

Morningrise is shocking.

Shockingly good but mostly shockingly shjt[SIZE=1]imo[/SIZE].. in comparison with My Arms, Your Hearse, Still Life and Blackwater Park and in amongst my favourites of albums/songs.

What do ^you think is good about it?

I'd say the riffs are mostly awesome, but the songs as a whole are just kind of meh.

Orchid is amazing but I can see where they started to slip a bit with Morningrise.

Opeth is an awesome fuking band, very creative and heavy music. I just burned deliverance, black water park, and ghost reveries from my friend. I like baying of the hounds, master apprentices, the leper affinity, and grand conjuration the most.

So last night, and couple of friends and I were driving back home after a nice evening in Pennsylvania, when we decided to stop at Taco Bell to soothe our hunger pains. Prior to this, we had been listening to Baying of the Hounds. So, when the nice man in the window handed me our food, I just had to respond with, "These are THE BEST MADE TACOS OF THE EARTH!!" in my deepest death metal growl. Needless to say, the taco man was quite confuzzled...
