OMG GUYS LETS TAKE MY COMMENTS OUT OF CONTEXT

a) I was arguing that power metal and melodic death are equally as similar to Iron Maiden, albeit for different reasons.

b) I never insulted your opinion once, mate, despite you personally insulting mine

c) Yes, I do think Arch Enemy are crap

d) No, I don't insult you every time you mention COB

e) No, I don't think I'm a God. If I was wrong, I'll admit it.

f) I listen to and enjoy Metallica. I'm hardly an elitist.

g) My user title says Power Metal Fanboy. Do you suppose that I'm not actually insulting you seriously by calling you that?
I'll stop putting up a fight. You obviously did something, it's not often that I get mad like this here on mx. I think you need to reconsider your responsibilities as a mod, you can't just go around saying whatever you want anymore. The mods that have been here for a long time are usually the most objective posters on the board, I think you need to work on that a little.
Soooo... let me get away from the arguements for a second. Does anyone here subscribe to Guitar World? If so, can anyone tell me if Alexi Laiho stopped his Column after showing Needled 24/7, Chokehold (Cocked 'n' Loaded), and You're Better Off Dead? If he didn't, does anyone know what else he showed? My subscription ended about 4 months ago...
Someone told me that one issue had Lil' Bloodred Ridin' Hood too. I'd love to have the copies with those songs in them, but I don't subscribe.

During your tour through Hollenthon's Vienna, you may feel the need to quench your thirst in one of Vienna's finest and most frequented hangout of certain black metal celebrities. One night a week, a few to a bunch get together at the Zeitstop. Come by to join Ali (your host) and toast among the hundreds of clocks that make up the Zeitstop's decor.

The Zeitstop is located in Vienna's 7th district, in the Neustiftgasse (Cafe Zeitstop, Fa. Sarkhosh, Neustiftgasse 6-8, A-1070 Vienna, Tel: 5264 770). This quaint establishment is open from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., 7 days a week. To say hello to Ali and other unexpected guests, take the U3 to Volkstheater. It is only a short stroll away to where time stands still.

From Hollenthons website. Members from Hollenthon, Summoning, Abigor, etc. may be found there from time to time.

LoL I have no clue what you are talking about.

So I'm thinking my next guitar will be...

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Guitar/Electric?sku=518666

or this one...which would be more practial with all the metal I'm listening too/playing

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Guitar/Electric?sku=511488

IheartSP 01-19-2006 06:15 PM

Britton I suggest a similar Jackson. Most of the models around 500 all have the same specs and with a pickup upgrade they rock (I know from experience). The problem with the Rhoads is it is uncomfortable to play sitting and suttin bothers me about signature models.

repcak 01-19-2006 06:25 PM

my next guitar will be the Jackson DXMG (Dinky series) - it was love at the first sight :D

good night(engl.) - dobranoc(polish) - vale noctem(latin) - gute nacht(german)

IheartSP 01-19-2006 06:26 PM

I've got a Kelly KE-3. It's basically the same as the RR3, the DXMG, and the WRXT, just a different shape.

Gute nacht.

btw I have the DXMG, it's a great guitar, worth all the money.

MRDuCran 01-19-2006 06:37 PM

I really want an ESP SV now since I have an obsession with Alexi at the moment, his guitar just looks soo cool.

Silenius 01-19-2006 06:37 PM

Flying V's look cool but are pretty bad when it comes to playing sitting down.

Toaster 01-19-2006 07:36 PM

I've been thinking of getting a new guitar, but I really want a seven string. I want to go Jackson, but compared to Schecter they're really expensive.. does anyone here have any experience with seven-string Jacksons?

Silenius 01-19-2006 07:41 PM

The only one I know of is the Christian Olde blah blah blah signature. Dunno how much that costs.

I'd say save your money more, and buy an actual Gibson Les Paul (or Heritage Les Paul. It'll last you for life, and it's perfect for any kind of music.

If I would get a 7 string guitar, I'd probably go for one of those Ernie Ball 7 string John Petrucci styled ones, aside from the fact they cost a riduculous amount.

PsychoticFlubber 01-19-2006 08:04 PM

I think alot of Gibson Les Pauls are a waste of money. It's almost like a Fender Strat. Except for the fact that it has so many variations that you will probably end up blowing alot of money just for the brand name. I have never played a seven string though... I am a six string person...

True, some of them are riduculously overpriced, but you do get what you pay for. The guitar has a terrific feel to it, you can use it to play many, MANY different styles of music (I use mine for metal, jazz, other stuff), and it really does sound amazing.
